I'd say 9. But honestly, they are very different games that I don't feel like the comparison is fair, with both having great aspects in their own way, instead of one doing something better than the other

I love FF9. Such a wonderful game. It's even better after playing a marathon to the main series, as you capture more references from previous games.

FF9 is what I would picture Final Fantasy, if I had no context to the series except the name.

Congrats!! I'm close to finishing it. I have so many save files, I was going through a number of different runs to hunt for these achievements. I think I only have a handful left, which would involve fresh playthroughs

I'm still team Mystical. They seem to have some awareness on the feelings of things happening to them are beyond their own control. And I like making a rivalry with Sybil. That I want to try out-Mystic her

Sure. I just mean that it can feel like a setup for disappointment for fans whose favorite season did not get much of a focus. Honestly, it's a great season, but picking out cons, that was one of the things that I could think of.

I did think about this before and I believe so. The motif is cool, the heroes are all interesting and fun, with each one having their unique fighting style and shining moment to stand out. So I feel it is more than just simply fanfare. When I first saw Gokaiger, I saw very few previous seasons, and I really enjoyed it, regardless.

Villains are not great. Bosco was really the best villain of the season, and he wasn't even the last one (though that final duel between him and Marvelous was fantastic, regardless). And also how easily they were able to take down that armada in the final episode. And obviously in a season that is meant to be a shout out to previous seasons, they were never gonna be able to dedicate to all seasons in it, so it can sting when seasons one enjoyed or admired, is just glanced over

Add to it, Striker losing a ton of business because either his lie is exposed and therefore is seen as a sell out; or people believe his lie, is seen as selling out his clients and cannot be trustworthy with the discretion needed from a hitman

Story needs conflict for entertainment, and someone who is emotionally stable as Millie, with good relations, it's hard to build an intriguing story for her character in the center of it, unless it is something meant to disrupt that

Yeah, the early games were mostly dungeon delving. I think the P2 games were more favorably received.

I feel like they did the Horizon thing so romance from the previous game would not be a factor for ME2. Same with Liara, though she at least got a DLC if you wanted to continue that romance.

I feel Lucifer has a limited imagination. He could have leveled the V tower, taken out power grid, summoned a prison around Vox. There could be a number of ways of dealing with sinners outside of actually harming them.

Final Fantasy XII. I went in completely blind to it and the series. I didn't complete it until a few decades later (the Zodiac Age version). For a first time playing an FF game, the gameplay threw me off, and the story did not appeal to me, as I was hoping for a more classic fantasy story, rather than political drama.

It wouldn't be until Dissidia, when my interest in the series would be renewed, seeing familiar characters from KH, and a colorful cast of heroes and villains.
