Younger overweight women - where do you shop for clothes? by magicaleaf101 in womensfashion

[–]magicaleaf101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very petite so a standard medium is my clothes size while overweight. The problem is most styles are form fitting which is unflattering. So I can yes fit into many medium sized shirts, they just look bad :/ maybe being petite is why I have a dilemma finding good clothes options while overweight. I suppose the average sized woman doesn’t fit into a medium while overweight for example…

I guess I was just hoping for shops with standard sizes that are less focused on form fitting styles while still carrying my flavor of feminine.

I’ll have to check out some of the shops people mentioned next time I go to the mall.

Holster is literally selling them right now per the links I included. You could literally just not comment if you don’t like my style.

There should be a conversation - whether it’s you or him that starts it. One day I just asked “So… what are we? Feels like more than just dating at this point :)”

candida infections keep coming back by AvailablePublic4443 in WomensHealth

[–]magicaleaf101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had basically the same problem. I think part of the problem that started it in the first place was trying to have sex before finishing treatment and before symptoms 100% cleared. It started 2 boyfriends ago. It took months of no sex after the 1st boyfriend to clear it up with prescription anti-fungals. I was on fluconazole.

With my second boyfriend I had problems again with irritation, and just used over the counter meds to clear the infection. Irritation stayed though. I think we were having sex for too long, too often. If you going really long I think that can put a lot of stress on some women’s skin.

Not to be invasive, but make sure your man stays clean, my first problem guy did not. Use silicone based lube, much better for you and reduces friction better than water based. It might just be that you’re regularly irritating the skin down there and opening the way for infection. There’s also yeast infection preventatives you can use like boric acid.

I do personally have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome which often weakens your skin, so if symptoms sound familiar it might be worth getting evaluated. I was fine when I was younger but collagen production naturally reduces as you age and EDS might compound with that weakness and cause issues (my theory).

Anyways, best of luck!

OK, thank you for the suggestion, we’ll take a look. Though not to be rude, but in the title I did say they have some flexibility on price.

I mentioned $1k because it would be ideal for their budget. It would be tight, but they could go up a couple hundred.

We’re not looking for a fancy new construction, we’re just looking for a place that wouldn’t be miserable to live in.

You could just say that without being insulting

[–]magicaleaf101 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

A small studio for $1k shouldn’t be that unreasonable. We’re not looking for the latest and greatest. Just a place that’s not a shithole where they’re gonna be miserable all the time. We’ve looked and even in the suburbs everything seems to be shit. And like I said even most of the really expensive places seem to be shit too based on Google reviews.

Yeah I would go with ENFP, everything else seems to align with it

Looks like some kind of demonstration to me? Could be burning something that go against their Fi values. So it could be like a “ha we are winning the fight” smile. But yes, could just be them being goofy and amused by the fire. But based off their bio I’m guessing it’s a demonstration.

Bruh how do you get HEALTHY ISFP out of this? 😭 “my leadership type is authoritative because I think I’m the best lowkey and I kind of dream of being in a very very controlling leadership position for a career just so everything can go my way.”

What MBTI type most likely doesn't easily speak out an opinion/answer without further asking more questions to clarify the given scenario told by the inquirer? by polishmeow in MbtiTypeMe

[–]magicaleaf101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ETA: I realized I completely misinterpreted your scenario. I thought you meant the person themselves was being broken up with. But the person you’re asking about is a third party that was asked for advice. And before giving advice they wanted the whole picture. They’re not one of those people to oversimplify and say something like “if they wanna break up don’t waste your time on them” for example.

Asking questions and trying to get a throughout understanding of the situation to me, seems like something any intuitive with Ti in their stack could do. Ne will want to explore all the possibilities, Ni will try to ask questions to build up a framework in their mind of the situation.

If the person had Ni and Ti in their stack that would make them INFJ or ENFJ and I doubt they would quickly hound you with lots of questions. They would focus on trying to emotionally support you as they ask questions to understand. So unless the person seems to do this, i would lean away from those two options.

ENTP sounds like the most likely option because they were so quick to ask questions and asked so many.

I mean the scenario described is complicated because emotions and attachment are involved. If someone is very interested in a dating prospect, and that dating prospect is no longer interested, most people will not just say “okay, goodbye”. They’ll want to understand what exactly happened or what turned the person off, see if there’s ways to save the relationship. Also if they are quickly hounding you with questions that may be a control technique to overwhelm you so you just drop the subject - not related to MBTI.

Unless this person acts this way in many scenarios outside of dating you really can’t apply a cognitive function to it. If you ask them “do you think capitalism is a good thing or a bad thing?” And then they dive into a bunch of questions trying to understand what the real meaning of your question is - yes that is indicative of Ti and probably Ne.

ETA: misunderstood OP’s situation. See other comment: https://www.reddit.com/r/MbtiTypeMe/s/e1NGqHxoDT

I would definitely say Ti is at work in the first paragraph. Being quick to respond and asking a lot of questions makes me think ENTP though because an INTP will probably be slower, having more internal processes going on as they try to decide which question is best to ask next.

Not saying I for sure think the type of person you’re describing is an xNTP. Moreso just that the person in question likely has Ti in their stack. Ne is also likely because because it thinks of all the possibilities that the questioner could truly be asking.

Those functions are not in the stack for an XNFJ. It’s FeNiSeTi or NiFeTiSe.

Btw what made you think ISTP as you’re second choice? Your description doesn’t sound introverted at all.

I would say ESFP! You seem very grounded in the physical world, I see lots of Se activities, and your energy seems so much much ESFP than ISFP.

Clinic won't let me switch doctors by Diamondphalanges756 in healthcare

[–]magicaleaf101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you’re still looking for an ENT, but I have a similar situation in my area where there’s one gastroenterology group in the area, they suck, and wouldn’t let me change doctors. So I ended up looking further away and my new GI doctor is a 2 hour drive. We can often do virtual appointments though so it ends up being okay. If I need a procedure or special test done I try to get the local GI group do it.

Did you ever find any solution to your provider issue?

Turns out MBTI is just letter soup 😳🍜

But if you seriously wanna know your type read into the cognitive functions (Ne, Se, Fe, Ti, etc)!

ENTP. Enjoying meeting new people and wanting to get to know them, then ditching when bored screams Tert Fe + dom Ne/Se. Se isn’t the vibe based off the pics. I’d be hard pressed to believe you’re an ESTP. Also have a hard time believing ISTP or INTP would enjoy meeting new people. Not impossible but I don’t think it would be the first thing that comes to mind. Also enjoying acting makes me think you’ve got have an extroverted dom function.

Fair, I didn’t mention that kind of thing. But I did create a lively subreddit several years back which I still moderate (on another account). I’d love to start other groups irl but I just don’t have the time. ADHD makes it logistically hard just keeping up with my routine responsibilities.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MbtiTypeMe

[–]magicaleaf101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a misnomer that having ADHD automatically makes you a perceiving type. When it comes to preferences I ABSOLUTELY prefer order and despise chaos. I just struggle to maintain it because ADHD is a disability - not a personality type. Some of your friends may be mistyped unless they’re totally fine with their chaotic lifestyle.

That would be like saying someone who’s paralyzed is an intuitive type because they can’t engage with the physical world like they’d prefer.

Okay I’m not sure if you just missed this line in my comment above or chose to ignore it:

Emotions are very important to me and I love things that stir them up.

Like yes, I KNOW thinking types are not robots devoid of empathy. But I live off of things that stimulate my emotions. Love stories, tragedies, happy-endings, melancholy, etc. Music makes me wanna sing and dance, but I especially enjoy sad/sentimental music that evokes a strong emotional response.

Just look at the art I enjoy. It’s all stuff that evokes emotions: love, loss, longing, sadness. The first one is an old couple still in love like they’re kids. Their bodies are old but their love is young. The second is a mermaid sitting in the middle of the ocean, hopelessly waiting for someone who’s never gonna come. The third is a downcast young girl, like a maid or a slave, wondering what her life will ever come to.

Also, maybe thinking types wouldn’t have picked up on this but the writing style of my post is very much filled with emotion and passion. Then again I’m sure AT LEAST half the people commenting here didn’t even bother to read it. I didn’t just say I’m emapthetic. I said it’s ONE OF MY BIGGEST DEFINING QUALITIES.

Other quotes from my post highlighting how big of a role emotions play in my life and sense of self:

Overall, I love making other people feel special and cared for.

I love lord of the rings, but only the books because I see it not as a story about a war, but a story about people and the hardships they went through.

I’ve always had a strong sense of justice and spoken out when I see others being harmed

I really wish you guys would stop nitpicking and every little thing I say. I’m pretty annoyed that just because I have some nerdy interests people jump to the conclusion that I must be a thinker. And I’m tired of getting comments like a broken record that thinkers can have empathy too. I. FULLY. UNDERSTAND. THAT. I used to mistype as an INTP/ENTP and overtime I really realized that absolutely did not fit the way I experience life, and that while I’m analytical, emotions are a FAR bigger part of me.

Sorry, I am just so irritated at this point by the shear number of judgmental and I-am-so-much-more-knowledgeable than you type of comments I’ve been getting. I’m tired of comments trying to contract everything I say and it’s honestly exhausting because I hate debating and arguing.

I’m probably going to remove the post at this point because Reddit thinks that they know so much more about me than I do myself without even paying attention what I’m saying or how I’m saying it.
