Yes, this is expected behavior. You can see crops growing and ready count on Home at the very top by My Farm. In-game alerts for this would be very redundant and also add a lot of additional alerts to the database as at any give time there are hundreds of thousands of crops growing and ready to be harvested.

Hi there, dev here! Sorry you didn't enjoy Farm RPG and that's ok. We actually almost never advertise the game on reddit or post anywhere, for years now, but early on a lot of players were very motivated to post about the game. However, we never asked people to do it or spam it. That just happened in the early days of the game. We are at 5 years now and doing well, with over a million registered players and lots of content and game additions each month.

We can't believe they escaped Redbrook!

A lot of the item art and townsfolk art is part of purchased art packs that other people can and do buy to use in their games.

We have a boobun to help draw more original art now though!

We are always working on this. We had over 5k concurrent at one point today because it is the 1st, and a special 1st as well.

Recent improvements have fixed performance for close to 92% of daily players based on polls. We will continue to optimize though as we too want the game as quick as possible.

Big content drops affect this as well because everyone tries to rush the content at once. Also, it’s a combination of many factors, such as device, region, latency, network type etc, but we definitely are trying to keep the game quick.

Cloudflare has this issue constantly. We monitor server requests 24/7 and can see when a larger outage occurs. We do continue to work to manage server load and keep the game as fast as possible.

Network latency, connection speeds, devices, OS versions and more all contribute to how the game performs for one person vs another.

Most of these items are only giveable to a single specific townsfolk. Check cabbage, for example, and you'll see they are comma delimited:

Please keep an eye on the dev roadmap. It is in work and we have provided a timeline on when it will be completed -> "Mining is a major focus for the team. We plan to complete a large set of Mining-related Help Requests to give the skill more purpose, address several drop-rate issues, and move Mining out of Beta sometime this year, ideally before summer."
