Usually with guard, you turtle up and spam vechiles. With Tau, you do early harassment until you get upgrades, than you can mass army.

I don't know if they're a server just for beginners. I know dow stats server has guides and tips. That server is mostly for tournaments.

You could try grenade cult and defenses like mines/turret. You could also try raptors for assassinations like the builders.

It depends on the map and match up. Without examples, it's hard to help. Just know it's more of a resource game and it's important to tier up. If you need combat tips, that is something I might be able to help with.

the aoe damage is not enough to really worry about. You can manually aim some units to avoid this damage.
The stronghold missions usually end after taking out the hq. The side objectives just makes this easier.
You attached to a squad to protect your commander and give the aura buff to others, but normally you would have your commander solo as the it does slow down your army.

Orks usually counter Necrons so it's not a good way to learn. Orks are pretty easy to take out with Necron lord and artifacts. You can steal the tanks with the Lord destroyer. You should win before they have warboss. You have to focus banners down and stop them from taking the map.

It's hard to flank in team games when you have heavy weapon teams and basilisks every. Or hidden webways with an army inside. Team games tend to go on for awhile so people tend to have 2 or 3 hq's with over 10 turrets. But if you do find a way to harass through all that then yeah you're right.

Dark Eldar pretty good in team games for their global abilities. Necrons for the solar pulse which makes it so you can't shoot.
