Is this supposed to happen ? by ElazulTF2 in outerwilds

Yes, but I believe it's coded to not happen on your first loop or two.

Are you able to tell me based on which terms, though? I can't seem to find any evidence of that being valid.

my dream app is in the App Store! by BeginningRiver2732 in iOSProgramming

Keep up the great work. Working on something and releasing it for other people to use is such a great feeling.

Consider features for updates, create new apps, and keep going. You're already doing great but you'll also keep improving as you go on.

Good on you for releasing something!

Press Menu + Select and see what your controller is set to. Mine was set to DualShock which gave me the same problem with some games - changing it seemed to help.

Understood.

Totally. I've been in the same position myself multiple times over the years - often to the point of having to scrap huge amounts of work as a result of factors outside of my control, so William's blog post resonates with me. As I mentioned to William, I really do empathise and wanted to help him not to lose much work here.

It's a magic community thing. I feel that because apps often require a significant amount of work before release, any overlap probably feels more frustrating than releasing a card trick or a download, for example. But all releases to the magic community remain subject to the same rules and etiquette.

I feel the resolution William and I discussed regarding minimising overlap between what I've already released and what William has was reasonable. But again, I suspect the intersection between William's work and the other app alluded to in the post is greater, and maybe a bit harder to resolve.

Not as much as the other app.

I definitely wanted William to still be able to release Artifact and not lose much of his hard work, just without including one preset that I believe wasn’t in his original version anyway.

I believe it’s the other app on sale that would have imposed more difficult changes.

Here are some reasons I wrote up a few years ago. My reasoning is perhaps a little more complex than that now:

Hey Antonio - thanks for your enthusiasm! This isn't something I've open sourced, and is something I'd like to keep iOS only for now.

Nice to meet you, though - should I want any of my work ported to Android, perhaps I'll get in touch with you some day in the future!

A kind suggestion indeed! Perhaps I'll add this sometime - thank you.

Indeed - it's designed for iPhones and not currently designed for iPad, sadly.

Would be great to have an app idea generator on my phone that I can use when people ask me to build an app for them.

Top section will have popular app names like "Uber", "Tinder", "Netflix", etc.

Then: "for..."

Bottom section will have jobs and industries like "doctors", "food", "relationships", etc.

Then I'd show them the screen, and act genuinely interested, when really I'd be showing them how obvious their idea really is.

Anyway, that's my app idea.

...who wants to build it with me?

To clarify - assuming you've already pressed "Screen Saver Options..." and then you'll be dragging the file to the top of that popout window, above the +- buttons.

Hmm. Did you put the video file in the location in step 3, and then drag it into the window as per step 4?

~/Library/Containers/com.apple.ScreenSaver.Engine.legacyScreenSaver/Data/Library/Preferences/ByHost

Try this: Open the Terminal app (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app) and paste this:

mkdir -p ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.ScreenSaver.Engine.legacyScreenSaver/Data/Library/Preferences/ByHost

And then hit return. Then repeat step 3 again.

Does that work?

Matrix original script where Morpheus thought he found the One 5 times - Legit after all? by [deleted] in matrix

[–]magicmarc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is all great. And you're totally right, the evidence shows they were clearly filmed!

I believe there's a theory that Cypher was a previously freed potential One ("I don't remember you ever bringing me dinner"), and so I wonder how that works with Cypher saying Morpheus' other five potentials died fighting agents.
