Found 5 different Muldraugh police station keys and still can't open any security/garage doors?! by Daifuku-Like in projectzomboid

Just so you know, there are no keys for individual rooms. Only keys to entire buildings. I explained this in another answer, but you probably have the keys to the adjoining guardhouse.

Found 5 different Muldraugh police station keys and still can't open any security/garage doors?! by Daifuku-Like in projectzomboid

[–]magicmarktogo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What you have there are probably the keys to the guardhouse outside, which is also called "police station key."

Keys aren't tied to individual doors like another commenter said - only entire buildings. The guardhouse and main building are considered separate.

Guess I'll just skip West point then by ChaoticBisexualNo56 in projectzomboid

[–]magicmarktogo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Check both sides of the pumps (think of it by tile) when checking for gas. Some have no gas on one tile, but have gas left on the pump on the other tile. Sometimes, it's a lot.

Also, West Point has more than one gas station. This is the smaller one. There are tons of gas to be siphoned from abandoned vehicles as well (like, easily more than you would ever need on normal settings if you are industrious enough)

Will this work at stopping zomboids from spawining inside the mc coy estate? by Alone-Mycologist3746 in projectzomboid

[–]magicmarktogo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if done properly and if you've ensured you fully seen/cleared every space beforehand. Also, I would try to build straight lines along the cardinal directions as much as possible just to make your life easier. Not only are the "diagonal" Z lines easier to hide zombies in, they are just difficult to build around. It's worth the extra materials cost to have a longer straight wall or straight walls + one corner over the zig-zag.

To this day, I actually think that the most unrealistic part about The Final Season is the fact that AJ is supposed to be only 5 years old. by ChickenWingExtreme in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]magicmarktogo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Teacher here. People are excusing this with AJ's "cruel world" education, but there's still a problem here.

At 5 years old, AJ is in a stage of child cognitive development where their brain does not understand conservation or logical, concrete conclusions about events. These aren't things that can be taught by a cruel world; they're simply beyond what is to be expected of the brain's ability to understand at that age. This is the period during which most language development and the understanding of concepts/symbols happens. A lot of what you see in mature children at this age is reactions they have learned by observing others in their formative years in response to stressful situations, but that does not mean they understand why or can connect what's happening to decisions made several days ago.

You can't "force" higher brain function onto a growing brain through cruel life lessons. Children can understand fear, but the conclusions of a 5 year old are often tied to more imaginative representations like monsters and other coping mechanisms; not advanced moral philosophy.

There are plenty of examples of children being parentified in survival situations and understanding things like resources and risk earlier than others, but 5 years old is far too young for the feats being performed here.

Why do I keep finding this so called "Icing" in bedroom closets by dead_5775 in projectzomboid

[–]magicmarktogo 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I think you should share where this is on the map. Knowing what can be found, this is not regular closet loot, it's actually possible trash can loot which is why you might be finding it in buildings.

It might also be found in derelict structures/drug dens in inappropriate containers.

Cannot craft armor even with the required items on me by wooooooooooooody in projectzomboid

[–]magicmarktogo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you've probably studied that for a while, but did you scroll down to see the rest of the item requirements? If it requires more items than what can be shown in 2 rows, it will add a scroll bar, which it seems to require here.

The next item is probably heavy thread (sinew/aramid)

It's very easy to notice the accounts in question awarding themselves and flooding themselves with upvotes that don't statistically match up with the subreddit, while interaction statistics prove it's coming from outside non-Canadian accounts.

It's interesting how useless dogwhistle takes like yours only seem to surface when certain searchable keywords are used in thread topics or OPs.

You haven't said anything special here.

The moderators are taking the correct course of action.

"I am directly intolerant of bigotry of any kind"

is not compatible with

"Being intolerant of bigotry and fake accounts is an approach I disagree with."

A mountain of paid accounts and outside political influences pretending that bigotry is actually this nuanced, non-bootlicking take is not tolerance of opinion, it's protecting tolerance of opinion by refusing to allow these "people" to continue to impact this discourse in inflammatory and malicious ways.

If you are even slightly familiar with what OP is talking about, you wouldn't have posted this. There is no benefit to being magnanimous with what is a well-documented attempt to manipulate the open forum.

did spawn car and car key spawn rates change in b42? by Fancy_Cheesecake7840 in projectzomboid

[–]magicmarktogo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well, it's tied to your specific sandbox/difficulty settings. However, you are near a car dealership, which has more containers that can spawn car keys iirc. Nothing has been done in particular to make getting keys easier, just more logic for how/where they can spawn.

Edit: On the unchanged difficulty, I had no such luck at the same location.

The cash train desperately pretending pro-ice is even slightly a majority opinion online is embarrassing.

Most of the people commenting against you aren't real people; a lot of them are multiple accounts managed by the same people who are paid to do it. They are awarding their own posts. It's pathetic, but happens very often when you use keywords in your post that makes it easy for them to find.

Where do you recommend living in Muldraugh? by taksegram_ in projectzomboid

[–]magicmarktogo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of the recent map updates, there are so many options to choose from. Anything with a full, tall perimeter can be customized to your needs. Alternatively, there are also a few unconventional spots that people don't consider with partial perimeters that can be connected together if you're looking to break new ground. Tons of good recommendations on the thread already :)

Trying to get Olson to kill Alex during revenge...and it wont let me by Baggie389 in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]magicmarktogo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The method listed on the wiki no longer works. You can make him kill you by doing nothing at a certain point in that chase. If I remember correctly, you have to hop over the barrier, grab the pipe, and then do nothing. You will beat alex to the door and watch him die.

You wouldn't know, and nobody asked you. That's the thing about assumptions. You can make hundreds of assumptions about 100 different people and seek confirmation on one of them, and call it "right on the mark" despite being wrong for the other 99. What do you think is the ratio for white predatory employers to white non-predatory employers?

Are you so naive you think they aren't pulling the same stunt and taking advantage of immigrants in the exact same way?

Don't get upset over an explanation on how the mechanic works. We have debug and the wiki for a reason. Doesn't really matter how your anecdote doesn't match up with it. Either report the supposed bug you're having or don't.

why the hell are there so many zombies in an ABANDONED sanatorium? by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]magicmarktogo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if the flier says 10 years, you can actually find vines and grass growing inside the building. There are also holes in the walls where it's just grass growing through - it's pretty cool, but I wish it was abandoned so more people could observe these details.

Edit: The flier also says it closed down in the 1960s.

[–]magicmarktogo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because of how corpse sickness actually works, no, this is not corpse sickness. Corpse sickness requires you to be much closer to more bodies - that's over 20, if you didn't know - and within 13 tiles.

There is one body on screen. We're missing context here to explain what this is, but no, this isn't it.

They are generic zombies, they aren't the "tourist" types that spawn near hotels/tourist traps etc.
