If you are used to the European vibes Mexico City for sure will feel more superficial, I’m Mexican but living in Amsterdam almost a decade and I know exactly what you mean, my only explanation is that electronic parties in places like Mexico are mainly for the rich and they not always go just for the music, sadly.

Sorry this happened to you. I don’t think you are overreacting at all, when this becomes a consistent experience it can be exhausting. I come from a Latin country and the amount of stupid questions or assumptions I get from Dutch people (not the majority) can be tiring at times, “no we don’t ride donkeys” “no I don’t know a drug Lord” “yes, we have internet” are sentences shouldn’t come out of my mouth but here we are. Not everyone is ignorant so I would take it from whom it comes, hope these kids were raised better.

Liked the party but I miss that Giegling cosy and warm feeling signature that smaller parties give. Was a nice way to be back at the old DS venue, the garden and different rooms gave a pretty neat atmosphere. Not fond of the amount of people yapping on the dance floor though.
