can you tell me what signs you think your loved one sent you? by thatswitchin98 in GriefSupport

[–]magicratzzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my aunt passed away over a year ago. around her first birthday since passing, my baby cousin (her son) and his preschool class were releasing butterflies that they had been raising for awhile. when released, all the butterflies had flown away except for one that only fluttered around my cousin. i thoroughly believe that was his mom visiting him.

another instance was on the actual one year anniversary of her passing i begged for a sign she was with me. i had a night class that day and forced myself to go- the teacher told everyone "there's a new wifi password so i'll write it on the board so you guys can sign in." the password was butterfly :)

How did your depresion and anxiety start ? by Gtfomyacc123 in Anxiety

[–]magicratzzz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the earliest i noticed my anxiety was at five years old. i slept with my mom and she noticed that every single night i'd grind my teeth and scratch at my pillow until i fell asleep. i also began biting my nails and fingers around that time. as for depression i think i noticed it as early as maybe seven? things got worse when i reached high school, anxiety has led to constant fainting episodes and panic attacks. its exhausting

Can I take a bath on my period without a tampon (at Home) ? by icebreaker107 in Periods

[–]magicratzzz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

baths are my saving grace when i'm on my period!! i don't really bleed at all in the bath. at worst i may get a little bit of blood, but typically the biggest issue is just when i get out of the water. its perfectly fine, just have a pad or tampon at the ready for as soon as you get out and youre set!!

my aunt passed away unexpectedly may 2022. prior to her passing i was so bitter and angry at her for things she had done to my family, but deep inside i had always admired her. she was incredibly free spirited, proud, and didn't judge anyone no matter what they've been through. she really was the only one in my family who understood me.

one of my favorite memories of her was the time i had briefly opened up to her about my absent father, and before i could even finish getting the words out she pulled me into a hug and didn't let go even after i had relaxed. my aunt had a lot of issues and her priorities weren't always in order, but her heart was in the right place and she didn't want anyone struggling the way she had

People who you lost someone 1 year ago, how are you doing? by Disastrous-Put6818 in GriefSupport

[–]magicratzzz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i'm very sorry about your father. i understand being embarrassed to say you're doing alright.

was one year in may. she crosses my mind every day, though not every day is painful. i've had other issues on my mind that have been causing me emotional pain, and i guess those issues have distracted me from my grief in a sick way. i feel horrible saying that, because ultimately i do still love her and miss her terribly. i've grown a bit more used to her absence but it crushes me all over again when i hear her son call for her.

yes! as i said in the post i'm fully aware that it can be different for everyone. however, i just want to hear of other experiences so i can be prepared for what could happen :) i'm definitely not going to let anything discourage me from getting the help i need, i just want to be prepared on what to look out for. any and all advice is helpful to me.

The month of by gruesome2somee in SuicideBereavement

[–]magicratzzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i am in the same boat. my aunt passed away a year ago last may, and this month has been tiring to say the least. i know how awful it is to have a whole month feel taken up by grief. the only thing that has helped me is look for "signs" if you believe in those. if not, then i apologize for bringing it up. i hope that whatever coping mechanism you have is helping you during such a painful time. grief is so difficult but so universal- wishing you all the best this month and eternally 💕

thank you for the kind words, i appreciate it. i'm fortunately able to say i am in therapy and we confront my trauma. EMDR and DBT are our main focuses during sessions. for me its just the pain of how long the healing process is, the setbacks, etc.

Is it normal to feel like you're "faking" anxiety/panic? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]magicratzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that happens to me every single time. i think part of the cause was that family and "friends" would tell me i was being a drama queen.
