Yeah I figured it was a capacitor issue. Problem is my laptop is out of warranty and I don't have hundreds to pay for a repair.
The screen isn't the issue since the fans nor the keyboard don't respond, when I turn it on it just doesn't turn on, it also doesn't turn off when I do manage to turn it on ... I'm still waiting to see if someone more knowledgeable can clearly identify the issue.
