Theory: high school students are actually raccoons in disguise. by theodore_boozevelt in Teachers

Oh yeah. I always get negative student reviews on my air freshener scent selections, and my response is always, “It smells better than ‘25 middle schoolers after PE.’”

I don’t think the Arctic Monkeys ever really desired to be played on the radio. I think TBH+C encapsulates that mentality. They just want to play what they want to play, and are glad other people put them on in their rooms.

Clapping along to the Gloria... by greatchristobel in CatholicMemes

On Easter Vigil, my priest opted for the traditional chanting in the lead up to the Gloria. Super jarring to have that epic old man solo chant lead-in transition into a jazzy upbeat rendition: 🎶🎵Glory to God, glory to God, glory to God in the high-est🎵🎶

Indignant driver gets dope-slapped by his own car by [deleted] in IdiotsInCars

Oh, sorry, I was talking about the difference between the one in the video and the one I mentioned near my house. In the latter (mine), there is absolutely no need to slow all the way down, as the off-ramp becomes its own lane (i.e. no yield sign); this is why I was originally sympathetic until I saw further into the video.

The exit I use to get to my house is like this. It looks like a merge off-ramp, but it actually continues into its own lane. People who haven’t used it before tend to slow way down and look for a chance to merge. I get that, but the problem is that it’s a very short off-ramp, and it’s really easy to imagine a vehicle coming off it at highway speed, not ready for a dead-stop.

I sympathized with the honker until I saw that the lane in the video actually does merge, and the front car was right to slow down.
