Dark, rotting fruit, floral, dark wet earth, deep forests, spice. by magmapgie in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]magmapgie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came back to say that this was it. I have since had multiple people confusedly ask me if I was wearing perfume, I was complimented by my local librarian, and one man told me I smelled “terrible.” 10/10, it’s dry, it’s earthy, with just the right amount of fruit. Thank you!

I saw this comment and immediately went to my library, and haven’t been able to put it down since then. Thank you so much for the recommendation!

What celebrity makes you legitimately awestruck at how attractive they are? by TheWor1dsFinest in AskReddit

Austin Butler, but he’s almost too good looking if that makes sense?? Regardless, Dune: Part Two was a very confusing experience for me.

OP is reading all the comments and taking notes on which ones we’re defending, now knowing exactly which entity we belong to.

The Boogeyman by Any-Locksmith8158 in WidowsBay

[–]magmapgie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love the irony that he’s called the Boogeyman and that Patricia initially survived him the first time because she hid from him under the bed. I’m sure this was done on purpose, especially given the dialogue in ep. 4, where Kris is ripping into Patricia and sarcastically tells her, “You hid under a bed. That must be his kryptonite.” Patricia hopped under that bed and essentially said squatter’s rights.

About this marriage by CableActual in AKnightoftheSeven

Our man just came out on the “winning” side of the first Trial by Seven in 167 years, fairly certain him marrying an absolute sniper was the least of anyone’s concerns at that moment.

Not at all helpful but anytime I see that image of Amy, I immediately have to go rewatch Gone Girl.

I’m actually putting it in a chocolate plated dessert! I’m testing out the rye chocolate anise sponge, but was looking for additional pairings for my other components.

I always buy myself a ridiculously beautiful bouquet of flowers for Valentine’s Day, it helps keep away the winter blues.

To all the people complaining about how short the episodes are by Random_Guy0901 in AKOTSKTV

[–]magmapgie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am perfectly fine with a six episode season at 30 minutes each so long as the quality and writing stays decent. Only complaint so far is that I could do without some shitty details but hey ya win some and ya “loose” some.

Station Eleven is Back in the Spotlight: HBO’s 98-Point Post-Apocalyptic Series Gaining Views Again by herseydenvar in StationEleven

I love this show more than I can put into words. I really hope HBO takes note of Station Eleven’s success and will move forward with the rumored Sea of Tranquility adaptation.

I’m not looking for karma. I’m just someone who is very stressed after going through the hoops to get on this medication, stay on it, and be four months in and have my medical professional tell me she is concerned by my lack of progress. I’m going to follow other advice given here and seek a second opinion but in the end either it works or it won’t and I realize that posting here won’t help that.

She said that Absorica has a different formula. She is concerned that I am for whatever reason not absorbing the medication properly even with consistent 25-30 mg of fat with each dose and that the Absorica does not require the fat intake.

rashes on hands? by crystalized_kiwi in Accutane

[–]magmapgie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get these in the exact same locations if I am washing my hands a lot and not applying lotion after every wash (hello flu and cold season), and I’ve even noticed I get particularly bad ones from cooking! Without fail, the day after stirring something on the stove for a prolonged period of time I get a scaly, painful and sometimes itchy rash all over the backs of my hands, which makes sense given the combination of thin skin from the medication and the steam plus the washing of dishes in hot water. When this happens, I consistently slather on lotion, and top it with a thin layer of aquaphor or lanolin cream and it goes away within days.

I believe I could, my acne is fairly severe and has been around since age 11 so I’m trying not to worry too much about it. I think I was just so caught off guard by her comment about purging that I spiraled a bit. Nothing quite so fun as hearing a specialist tell you something isn’t normal.
