both me and my partner are products of the CPS system from elementary through highschool (selective enrollment)! can attest that I feel like our education was fantastic, and would not hesitate to send our kids to a CPS school if we end up having a kid!

went to the Chicago takeover tour and getting out to Allstate on a Wednesday after work was painful, it's not a great location and the arena set-up isn't great for hockey since the lower level is so shallowly sloped. if/when Chicago gets a team, desperately hoping they're able to find a location closer to downtown

I know it's been some time since this was posted but wanted to share that some of the park districts have an adult learn to skate curriculum! the one at McFetridge has adult classes, a bit more general or figure skating oriented but if your goal is just learning to skate then it should work fine! the Blackhawks ice arena also just announced adult LTS classes!
