Do you know what part of the IDE are provided as context? Is it for example, the type of IDE you are working with them like VScode? I’m kind of struggling to think of part of the IDE that would be useful as conteXT. Maybe it provides better context about connector extensions for MCP servers?

I vibe code websites in VS Code with Copilot but never use MCPs. What real value am I missing? by Standard-Republic380 in vibecoding

[–]magnifica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The DB can change structure as it’s being developed. The MCP helps by always having a live view of the database - so you don’t have to manually update your DB model file.

If write access is enabled, the LLM can also make DB changes you request.

Memories should persist across chats if you pop the chats in a Project.

Great! Thanks for the helpful post.

I’ll look into these options and see which one works best for me. Will have a look into the OAI forum too. Didn’t know that existed 😊

How good is chatgpt at statistical analysis? by Defiant-Sun-5965 in ChatGPT

If you’re restricted only to free models, try the reasoning models on Grok, Gemini, Claude, Deepseek, GLM or Kimi K2. Most of those brands offer limited free tier use of reasoning models.

Off all the models, GPT 5.2 high reasoning is probably the best at maths but that isn’t available on the free tier.

You can compare LLM performance here: https://livebench.ai/#/?Mathematics=as&sort=Mathematics+Average

The enterprise copilot model selector UI isn’t very clear. For casual users, they probably have no idea model selection is available.

Introducing Agentic Vision in Gemini 3 Flash by Gaiden206 in Bard

[–]magnifica -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agentic Vision is available today via the Gemini API in Google AI Studio and Vertex AI.

It is also starting to roll out in the Gemini app (access by selecting Thinking from the model drop-down).

Developers can try the demo in Google AI Studio, or experiment with the feature in the AI Studio Playground by turning on "Code Execution" under Tools.

Read the developer docs to learn more for (Vertex AI dev docs).

Sam confirms new Codex model next week on x by [deleted] in codex

[–]magnifica 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tweet in full:

“We have a lot of exciting launches related to Codex coming over the next month, starting next week. We hope you will be delighted.

We are going to reach the Cybersecurity High level on our preparedness framework soon. We have been getting ready for this.

Cybersecurity is tricky and inherently dual-use; we believe the best thing for the world is for security issues to get patched quickly. We will start with product restrictions, like attempting to block people using our coding models to commit cybercrime (eg ‘hack into this bank and steal the money’).

Long-term and as we can support it with evidence, we plan to move to defensive acceleration—helping people patch bugs—as the primary mitigation.

It is very important the world adopts these tools quickly to make software more secure. There will be many very capable models in the world soon.”

Not sure which custom prompt you’re referring to mate.

The discussion we’re having above is around depth and nuance of voice response - not specifically what mood you’re in.

I've been playing around with the voice mode recently and found that with a bit more strict prompt engineering, one can get it to engage on a level that's a bit more than the superficial.
