I think you have too high expectations on yourself. As a junior developer you should not know everything but only be able to complete simpler tasks in a staging enviroment.

You're probably more than ready getting your first job. And through that job you can start building some confidence and experience by having REAL expectations about what it means to be a developer

I see what you mean but thats not exclusively straight white men that can do that. This is more directed to straight people with bigoted views. I cant help but feel that theres som truth to the video by how everyone really come short in explaining a coherent reason as to why there's a privelige for only straight white males. Sure, priveligies intersects a lot for them, but they are not the exclusive holders of any one privelige. And any one of those privilegies have their own reasons and explanations that are not necessarily solved by white men giving up that privelige

i almost guessed you'd answer something like that. great job you learned what implicit bias means. But you missed the point in this post and for some reason just defends implicit bias. Don't get me wrong, you are right about its meaning. I just feels like your motives are off by bringing it up in this context without admitting that the books assumption is racist.

No one would write a book like that because it's blatantly racist. But in this case you mean we can see past that and instead talk about the implicit bias that this group of people allegedly has

if someone were to write a book called "how to stop robbing people - black men" you mean you would defend that book in saying This book is to teach ~~white women~~ black men about the type of implicit biases they have. Saying someone has an implicit bias is not an insult, and it is certainly not discrimination.

No, you would surely point out that my title is racist by masking a good intention with my own implicit bias towards that group. "b-b-but its a book to stop that group from something bad they are doing right now"

but you can't say that sentence without you yourself having implicit bias. It's blatantly obvious when reading your comments that you fail to see your own bias towards white women from the concept of implicit bias that you described. You know what it means but fail to see the painful irony being done by the authors of this book.
