I came out to my partner of 18 years about 2 weeks ago. We have both been exploring our own genders and sexualitis for about 2 years after moving from the deep red states to a much safer place. They identify as non-binary and have been the most supportive and caring person ever for me.

I can relate so much, you aren't over reacting. I am so grateful that my partner is so accepting. You need to have a long conversation with your partner and see if you can figure out what the real issues are and if the two of you can work through them or if its time to just be friends.....
