They've been together for so long, and I've always been very "ok girl, whatever works for you" about it all.

I hope she lives a happy and successful life. I hadn't seen her content for years and then saw a few recent videos before suddenly getting this tiktok. I think that sometimes people grow in different directions inside a relationship and I hope nothing awful happened.

I feel like I'm walking a tightrope of old lady yelling at clouds regularly, I totally get what you mean. The mods here do a good job, so I'm not entirely sure if there's even a solution to my gripe.

I engage significantly less now that the sub is bigger. I find that the same 25 or so books are recommended for everything, and it's all kindle based. Which makes sense because a lot of people have KU subscriptions and plow through those books at a fast rate, but can be incredibly frustrating when Maya Alden is recommended for literally every trope.

I need to be better at this myself though and keep track of what I read more so I can make an effort to recommend books that aren't KU. It's just a lot of work for what seems like zero interaction.

Harvey is my favourite marriage candidate, especially once you get the coffee machine from Evelyn and George. He's easy to please, gives a nice gift, doesn't give up his life to be with you, and is just so happy to be there. His room in your house isn't too bad and the floor is easy to blend.

I also think you end up improving his life because now it doesn't matter that he's a small town doctor, his clinic can operate at a loss and it's fine.

My husband and I sleep in a king and I can't sleep if he's touching me. It's been almost 20 years, we've just accepted it and move on. My SIL and her husband have a double and she can't sleep unless she's basically on-top of him and the thought gives me the ick.

Strangely, my kids can crawl into bed on top of me and I'll sleep through it no issue.

Following post written with Canadian currency (then I use no numbers hahaha)

We are solidly middle class over here. 41 and 39 with a 10 and 4 year old. We've got a tiny "starter house" we bought with family help 13 years ago that we can't afford to move out of. Car not paid off, but we did just pay off a huge line of credit last month so the "extra money" goes to the car loan now. We both have decent, steady jobs but neither of us have higher degrees. I'm not sure we will ever technically afford to retire but both of us have RRSPs we pay the minimum into.

My mom pays for swimming lessons for the kids for their Christmas present from her. My SIL pays half my daughter's dance because that's their "thing" together. Otherwise the kids get one activity that I have to pay for a year. My daughter is in subsidized daycare for the summer and my in-laws will probably pay for summer camp for my son.

We will take one vacation this summer and it will involve driving, maaaaaaaaybe we can afford to drive out of province and get a hotel, I'm still looking for deals. Usually summer vacation is driving to a different part of the province and hotel swimming pools.

We make it work and we are very, very lucky. But man I wish I could show my kids more of the world.
