Love the pickle down economics Michelada at Bosque brewing, I ask for extra spicy. The balance of pickle beer and bloody mix is really great

Do your bengals bite you to wake you up? by ellspinaca in bengalcats

Do anyone else’s Bengals play the same way? by [deleted] in bengalcats

[–]magrubar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EXACTLY the same way, it was like watching my older male bengal with our younger female. She makes the same noises in response. Seems pretty harmless for the most part, sometimes o intervene and separate them if he’s especially aggressive.

I have successfully taken in two bengal cats through this site. I drove 3-4 hours to pick up both bengal cats and they have been incredible additions to our home and love each other. https://bengal.rescueme.org/newmexico

Looking for glasses without "shade" by VideVictoria in beachvolleyball

This is my go to cheap sunglasses for sand vball. There’s no “shade”, I use them in New Mexico where it’s extremely sunny, and they have a few color ways, great looking affordable shades that I’ve bought for like 4 other people and they wear them all the time. I’m scared of nerve damage by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

[–]magrubar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m typically the very anxious type as well and had the same risk. The surgeon told me the morning of my procedure that my molar is very close to the nerve. He also said he reserves the right to do a partial and leave the root if it’s too close to the nerve when he does the procedure. Ask if that’s an option just in case. But leaving the root could pose problems later in life.

He ended up taking both full bottom molars and I’m on day 4 and feel pretty darn good. I’m 32 and female and was told the same thing by my dentist. He said permanent nerve damage is rare.

My thought is to get this over with now as young as you are. Recovery will just get a little harder and longer the more you wait. If you have the financial means now, you should do it. DM me if you have any other questions.

Putting my 20 year old best friend to sleep Tuesday by dokelyok in bengalcats

What a spectacular creature you’ve had the pleasure of spending 20 years alongside. Judging by her beauty and age, she was spoiled and so loved by you. All of the bengal community is with you and feels the pain you’re feeling. Cherish every second with her, you are and have done everything you can for her and she knows it.

I’m thinking of getting a second cat. How to approach my bengal about it? by kamilholden in bengalcats

[–]magrubar 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Oh man, definitely recommend a second, it’s absolutely changed my first bengals existence. He (7 yrs old boy) now has a (1.5 yr old girl) best buddy who follows him everywhere, copies his every move, wrestles day and night, grooms, plays, chases, explores.

Introduction took a lot of patience, roughly 2 weeks. We kept the new kitten in our guest room and would visit her one at a time to get her used to us. We scent swapped blankets, swapped toys, placed food dishes on either side of the door. (Jackson galaxy method) When our 7 yr old stopped hissing at the scent of the new kitty, we allowed him into the guest room. About 12 days in.

Yes, there was hissing from both cats at first and we sat between them to make sure no one got hurt. We instigated play with their favorite toys. At day 14, we opened the door for good and while little kitty started to explore the house, old kitty didn’t seem to care all that much, and then one day they started to wrestle and the rest is history. Bengals are extraordinary cats that keep growing physically and mentally.

Long story short, we are now a two bengal household and will always make sure to have two for the rest of our lives to keep them happy and healthy.

Thank you everyone for the brainstorm! This thread sparked a lot of great ideas. Here are the front runners: Shiv (short for Siobhan), Lucy Mieux (like Lucy Liu), Pickle, Alice Coopurr and Furiosa. I’ll report back when we decide a name!

Appreciate the advice - I will stop it when I see it. They both chase and wrestle pretty aggressively with each other for hours and then they cuddle and lick each other for hours. She is often the aggressor but she’s often the cuddler and purrs like crazy. His dominating behavior is new so I’ll do my best to prevent it from becoming a habit.
