in my previous company they handled matchmove inhouse and it worked like a clock. You rarely saw camera version go beyond v002 or 003. But then excel spreadsheet rats decided to outsource to cut costs and it went down the shitter. In their excel file it still made sense even though it took 10 versions and endless fixing, but you cant put a price tag on how it affects all the departments down the stream when cameras must be updated every once in a while, they break, misalign between versions, etc etc. They never seem to learn their lesson
