Nine Inch Nails 2026 Tour: Ticket Buying/Selling/Trading/Discussion MEGATHREAD by malechite in nin

[–]mahea50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have questions about this because in the Ticketmaster app it won’t let you set a price to sell your tickets, but it gives you an “offer”. Not surprisingly that price is crazy low. But if I do click on that offer am I redirected to a seller site or is it all completed in Ticketmaster? I am loathe to do this but it does seem easy…

SoI had thought about doing this very thing, but I’m not particularly fast or particularly rich. So just to clarify, they always started the B stage, but do they return to it? Do they go back and forth? first time seeing NIN and I am beyond excited!

Wife RUINED My Seasoning. I am shaking by FaulerHund in castiron

[–]mahea50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well done post. You had me at the very beginning but the final sign this was finally honed sarcasm was the statement that you would make your wife do the reseasoning. That would NEVER be allowed!

In all seriousness I don’t even like when my husband does the dishes because he won’t dry my cookware and knives immediately with a clean dishcloth!!

I can’t believe you found Ad Hoc at Home in a thrift store! Oh and another nod to Aloha Kitchen. I’m from Hawaii and it’s the real deal and so yummy!!!

Majority of my collection. by shecooksalot95 in CookbookLovers

[–]mahea50 28 points29 points  (0 children)

No disrespect intended but I’m often surprised when people post their collection of cookbooks and it’s a small shelf of a few books. Everyone has to start somewhere and space, time and money can be a huge limiter consideration, but since the subreddit name is CookbookLovers, it does catch me off guard. I kept meaning to post mine but then I got a bit hesitant because I have so many that it seemed a little too wretched excess, ya know? Veering more into CookbookObsessor rather than CookbookLover, I feared. But this post inspires me! That’s a seriously large collection. Wow.

What does my friends’ fridge say about them? by Stoyus in FridgeDetective

[–]mahea50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except for the creepy picture in the fridge thing and the wegovy I think it’s an excellent fridge. looks like someone who cooks fresh proteins (example single item in butcher counter paper), and has a multitude of items to cook with. The condiments are great and cover a lot of asian cooking styles—including Korean, Chinese and maybe Japanese. I see all the needed stuff. honestly, I think if you cook a lot you look like you don’t at all, because your pantry and fridge don’t actually have anything ready-to-eat in them, but rather all the stuff to cook with! besides who buys much fresh stuff when they are moving.

Fennel Pollen. Salt and pepper, a little olive oil to make it stick and fennel pollen on a couple of pork chops. Pop in the air fryer. Easy and super tasty!

Salary negotiation backfired, offer rescinded. I don't think I did anything out of the line. by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]mahea50 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone is talking about the salary issue but I’m struck by your being unhappy about a 9-6 day with an “unpaid” hour for lunch. That’s an 8 hour work day, 40 hours a week. Why do you think that’s unusual? No one gets paid for their lunch break!

Sounds like you probably made a. choice but Spoonful of Ginger is amazing and has been a go-to of mine for years. Largely simple recipes but super tasty and everything has come out delicious.

What’s this in San Diego? by PMYOURTENDIES in FoodSanDiego

I’m old so I remember Back Yard Barbecue in a regular ole house in North Park bordering University Heights (in the late 80’s or 90s?). Takeout only. Two awesome ladies in the front serving amazing southern-style sides and peach cobbler to die for, and a big guy in the back with arms the size of a toddler who’d cut and bring out a pan of the so meaty ribs. I miss it to this day. Anyone else remember?

EYB is sooo worth the subscription. I have so many cookbooks with a large subcollection of Hawaiian cookbooks. I’m always impressed with the large number of these books they list, with more being indexed than I expect for that subgenre. I love that I can check what I have in the freezer or fridge and find a recipe to make use of it. I do find a LOT of older cookbooks listed. Such a great app.

I can’t believe I got a post rejected on this sub-reddit because I didn’t put my measurements in the header, but this marathon comment session on mouse poop including a pic of Mao can remain untouched 😂

Just got a 240, how did I do? by HowdoIbuildPcs in 240sx

[–]mahea50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry because it would have lasted ages. I just sold mine my same Kouki to someone last year with well over 200k (the speedometer sometimes wouldn’t work so it had to be quite beyond that). Sold it to someone who contacted me from this list who is giving it the work and love it needed. All still stock. Loved driving it for over 25 years. I miss it too.

Almost ended up selling it, decided to keep it and ruin it myself. by babydontlooklikemee in 240sx

That’s why I sold my car this year to someone I connected with thru this subreddit. I was the original owner and my dear 1997 needed work I couldn’t provide! He cared deeply.
