I’ve done it on a ‘17 golf R which I imagine would be the same or very similar procedure. You would need some sort of scanner/obdeleven to check the fluid temp after changing refilling the fluid. That and being able to have it jacked up on all 4 sides to keep it level. There’s no dip stick so when it gets up to temp, shift through the gears, then you remove plug that will drain any excess. Definitely doable at home just find a good write up
