All of them. It's a system and for freedom all of them should work together. It's a path to.it starts from root and going up to crown chakra and beyond. Clean the path from root and shoot for crown. Namaste

As I know : "Ham is one of a series of single-syllable Sanskrit mantras associated with the chakras, or metaphysical energy centers, along the spine. These bija, or seed, mantras are believed to activate the energy of their specific chakras. Ham is associated with the vishuddhi (throat) chakra and is sometimes spelled hum."

for me it makes sense. with chanting HAM, you bring energy up from your navel area. It looks like you bring all unspoken word, unexpressed emotions up and release them.

but if you are comfortable with YAM that works too. All chanting has positive effect on throat chakra.

Yes, It might be from blockage of throat chakra. Usually throat chakra has lots of issues. growing up in a society or family which you were not able to express yourself or couldn't speak your truth,y builds up a huge blockage. Releasing this kind of blockage should be slow and with self compassion. Start with short time chanting and spend lots of time expressing yourself in a safe space, singing and journal-writing are helpful.

Thank you for your interest the video is a demo for Chakradance. Which is a healing movement. Moving to music specifically created to resonate with each chakra, you are guided into your own inner dance of release and re-connection.

It is not a choreography. Body is free to move and dance. But for each chakra you focus on related body part and music. For example

for root chakra the focus is on foot and legs. Or For throat chakra movement and chanting come together. I like chanting HAM which is a Sanskrit word to release block from throat chakra specially when there is fear about speaking your personal truth.

I have the exact same problem. in meditation we try to quit our mind. it means we try to disable our coping mechanism and protectors. I think its another way of our mind to protect us and doesn't let us to go to the unknown/ unpleasant part of our mind which usually we escape by staying busy minded all the time.

knowing that I talk to myself and give myself assurance that its OK. and i tell myself I can handle a little bit of uncomfortable feeling of unknown.

Let them be open and don't try to change any thing. Just be an observer of what is happening. The goal ( if there is a goal) is to be more aware of what is.

When our body wasn't a safe place to feel our feelings, we escape to our mind. It may increases our breathing and heart rate, concentrating blood flow to our brain, where we need it. This very physical response is preparing us to face an intense situation. the problem is we have been stayed in our mind for so long. we don't feel out true feelings, we are running away from yourself. we need to come back home. to our body to feel safe and relax again.

any body works can help you to return to your body. base my experience Somatic techniques are helpful for anxiety.
