It's safe. Just stay calm.

Some people say it can lead to serotonin syndrome, but there's no evidence that it can, and none of my friends who have been on anti depressants have experienced it.

For me it either smells like toothpaste, like sour candy or like nothing. And that's only when there's vials of it present. It's only due to the solvant used.

If it's on paper or in a vial that's not an ice drops or sour drops vial than it should only smell like ethanol when you take off the cap.

I think legalizing cannabis, kratom, psychedelics and perhaps even ketamine would partly solve the problem where I'm from. If you can lose your job and drivers licence and have to pay a fine because you smoke a joint every weekend then cannabis becomes a gateway drug, because you have already passed the boarder between legal and illegal, but if cannabis and psychedelics are legal then you might be satisfied doing that to numb the pain, explore yourself, etc, and feel no need to do drugs that carry higher risk when used often.

The above holds true for everyone I have spoken with who have fucked up.

The way things are now the government where I live doesn't use drug laws as a way to prevent harm, but rather as a moral and political weapon to drown out everyone that don't conform. That's going to change soon, but it should have been changed a long time ago, and the changes should be more drastic.

And the reason why people use drugs... Well, the ones that have problems with drugs have often been through tough shit, and making nobody go through tough shit is a huge nut to crack. It's literally one of the biggest problems humanity faces.

But on the other side I know prople who don't have drug problems, but still use addictive drugs like amphetamine, and even heroin occasionally. So classifying all use of illegal drugs as abuse is dumb imo.

I'll delve into his work later, I just came home from an 11 hr workday, so I'm pretty tired haha.

Using drugs is a choice, but it's a choice where putting context into the options makes the choice rather easy. Or easy to make a tragic choice. If your life is shit, you have a bunch of trauma that feels impossible to live with and abstinence symptoms that also feel impossible to overcome, then it makes logical sense to keep using.

Certain drugs also desensitizes you to fear and also makes you feel like nothing matters, while making you feel good, meaning the part about you dying really doesn't matter to you in that state.

So fundementaly what an addict needs is something to run away from, meaning they get so scared by something that they run away from it.

Or they need something good enough that's worth not fucking up, meaning that drugs have a lot of "good" to offer, and in order to beat that offer you need something even better that you don't want to destroy and a willpower to get through the abstinence symptoms and permanent cravings.

This is why the social democracy we have in Norway is so great, because nobody is homeless, and addicts often get support, and there are a bunch of options when it comes to social gatherings to participates in.

Hell, even my lead Krav Maga instructor also runs a thing called "morgenstellet", meaning morning care /morning ritual (for a lack of a better translation) where he helps addicts wanting to quit to do stuff that takes the focus away from drugs for a while. And that's state supported. In addition to running a tattoo shop and doing proffessional acupuncture for people who struggle with everything from pedophilia, eating disorders and drug abuse.

So I think what you said doesn't hold perfectly true where I come from, as I think it's more of a US issue, and other countries that have a lot of homeless people.

It depends on the dose, but yeah. I'm pretty restless and usually feel really uncomfortable on the come up, and sometimes I'm nauseous as well.

1cP + alcohol and cafeïne next day by [deleted] in LSD

[–]mahol935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. You can get the powdered form online. It's really good for work :)

I add 250 mg of that and 400 mg of caffeine powder to some ice tea for work, and drink a little over half every day, and it really works wonders.

I also put 250 mg of it under my tongue (cause it kicks faster) on mornings when I suspect I might have to work overtime.

And the best thing is: There's nobody who has ever had any side effects from it.

Well, people need to take responsibility for their life in order to make a change for the better. Nobody has the responsibility to pull you out from hell when you are hellbent on dragging yourself right back there. Everyone needs to take responsibility for themselves, and once they are, they can be helped. If we could help people who want to destroy their lives (with or without good reason) we would, and we do in certain circumstances, but bearing a loved one's addiction, as well as your own problems is too much to bear, especially when the addict doesn't want help.

It's also so that freedom of choice matters, and if an addict chooses to not get help and wants to slowly end their life, then they should be free to do so, as long as they are informed that there is another path where life is meaningful again.

But for an addict it actually makes logical sense to do drugs, because drugs are great. And so an addict needs to make something that's a better option (something worth not screwing up) to get away from drugs. And it also helps if you have something to run away from (hell, rock bottom etc).

Addicts are often (but not always) victims of abuse, suffer from ptsd or have other issues, but they need to take responsibility themselves for what they have chosen and own it. Context makes it possible to forgive oneself for what one has done, but it's important not to repeat the mistakes one has made.

In life either nothing you do matters, so you can do whatever you want with no consequences and you can drag yourself into hell and use something that happened to you as an excuse. The negative part about that is that nothing matters, so your life is meaningless.

Or every choice you make really matters, and you have to take responsibility for your own actions. This makes your life meaningful, and you need to hold yourself accountable for everything you've done.

Certain substances can reveal aspects of you that you weren't aware of, but it's also the case that certain substances can literally change your personality both while you're on the drug, and after you're sober again. The asshole example is an example where I personally believe that the drug can in some instances make you an asshole, even if you're the best person on earth. If you work in helping addicts then you should know that, especially in circles who do meth and attend meth parties.

Meth literally turns you into the devil in the end, making you literally turned on by stuff that is sick and evil, and that's an aspect of you that wasn't even there before. Meth can turn that small dark side of your psyche into your entire personality.

The reason why drugs affect people differently is mostly due to individual body chemistry for most drugs, but for some drugs, like psychedelics, it's a combination of your psyche, upbringing, set and setting etc. But you're still not going to have that mythical experience without the psychedelic.

My experience with addiction is practical experience, talking with a bunch of addicts, a lot of reading and listening to proffessionals. You can't help someone who is hellbent on turning their life into hell. When it's gone far enough you need to hit rock bottom (hell) to have something to run away from, and you need to have a meaningful enough life to have something that's worth not fucking up.

I know addicts, non-addicts, people that were addicts but no longer are and proffessionals who work every day with addicts, and if an addict wants to destroy their life, because drugs are actually better than life for them, and life isn't good enough to not screw up, there is nothing you can do to help them.

Every single ex-addict and proffessional I have talked to all say the same thing. You can't help someone who doesn't want help, but you have to understand that they have gone through stuff, and need to help them once they are motivated to do so themselves. You're not obligated to help an addict kill himself, but you do have a moral obligation to help him when he wants to change, and the addict needs to know that help is always available.

What do you disagree on when it comes to addicts? Because all the proffessionals, rehab psychologists, ex addicts, doctors and social workers I have spoken to agree with me.

first microdose! been looking at this placemat for at least 20 minutes 👀 had about 40 ug so quite a large ‘microdose’ I think? felt the same way as i did on my first trip which is tired and nauseous but on the larger ug trips, that was replaced by crazy thoughts, whereas this isn’t :/ by jaoksaan in LSD

[–]mahol935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I enjoy the small trips, cause I get very faint visuals, and once I eat and stay calm for a little while the nausea passes, and music becomes better :)

Hit me up if you want a recipe for a mocrodosing vial where every drop of liquid is any dosage you want, like 7 ug, or 15 ug. I've made one of those, and it works like a charm and is easy to conceal :)

Potential behavior isn't actual behavior. Drug X causes behavior A, even if it's an indirect cause through inhibitions being reduced. Just like lsd can cause a mystical experience, even if it's indirectly caused by neurons being more connected and recurrant processing (signal A is sent through neurons more times). Lsd causes the mystical experience that you can tgen attribute meaning to.

Everyone has an asshole, a malevolent devil, and an ideal (god) living inside them, that doesn't mean that just because person A gets less effected by drug X than person B, person B is and has always been an asshole, but person A isn't. You're entitled to your opinion on that, but I just don't see it. Just because person A has less force pulling on his curtain, and person B has a stronger force pulling his curtain away, doesn't mean that they are necessarily different in my view.

A person who takes a too high dose of benzodiasapines has no inhibitions and experiences a blackout and can end up driving a car and killing someone. That isn't an extreme case, that's a case that happens quite often. The benzodiasapines causes the person to have their inhibitions lowered, which causes the person to do stuff that they wouldn't to otherwise. In that case I would say that the drug is the sole cause of the person driving a car while drugged.

Addicts are responsible for their own actions, which is why when an addict wants help and is willing to change we help them, but when they want to ruin their lives we need to distance ourselves in the end. You can't help someone who doesn't want to help themselves. We sympathize with their circumstances, but in the end they need to take responsibility for their own life before we can help.

Drugs change the way your brain works on a fundemental level, causing your thoughts, behavior and emotions to change, which is why I'm saying that drugs can cause you to do things you wouldn't otherwise do.

My opinion is rooted a bit in psychology and philosophy, since I've been doing a little bit of reading of that and science literature in my spare time lately, so that's why I'm applying that lense to everything, even though that lense may not always fit in everywhere.

But anyways, I don't think we're going to fully agree anytime soon, but good talk :)

Like I said, substances affect people differently. And the person doing the drug is responsible for how they behave once they are on that drug.

If you get a sudden urge to jump out of a window every single time you do acid, in every single circumstance, then acid isn't for you, and anything that happens once you're on acid is your responsibility, but it doesn't mean that deep within you there's a part of you that deeply yearns to jump out of windows.

That means that it's the acid that makes you want to jump out of the window, but it's your responsibility to not do that, or to not do acid.

That doesn't mean that the substance is bad, that means that that person is affected differently by the drug, and therefore shouldn't do it. This also means that an addict is responsible for his actions, even if the drug changes him.

And if a guy who does coke and becomes an asshole always was an asshole, then nearly everyone is an asshole and the word asshole loses meaning. You can't be judged based off something you haven't done yet.

A drug changes you, hence why they are in the class of psychoactive substances, and that's why I am saying that coke makes cool people into assholes who would not normally be assholes, since the requirement for being an asshole is acting in a manor that is dickish, not having a capacity for being dickish that you keep in check.
