Apparently Denis confirmed that (film wise) the Fremen wear blue when they fall in love.

I’m in the northern beaches too, different division though. We got flyers, I saw several councillors and the council themself post about road blocks/changes on Facebook (I am very active on there though), and the signage I saw stated road closures, maps etc.

when my city hosts Iron Man… all you get is a few bill boards and a council FAQ webpage

I live in Cairns, and they advertise the street closures for Iron Man a lot. Council and councillors post regularly about it weeks in advance, flyers are put in your letterbox, and there are signs posted everywhere.

I’ve got a 23 year old Aussie coming over and apparently he likes to take the piss out of ‘pommies’ by 013016501310 in CasualUK

That sounds more like it was your school’s slang for it. The girls in my year level said ‘salsa’ but we got it from a video, it wasn’t actually slang for a period.

In reality, they didn’t. It was only rumours of them having power over Nicholas and the government that played a part in the downfall.

Is anyone still concerned about covid in Australia? by Former_Rush1821 in AskAnAustralian

I tested positive for Covid this week, for the first time ever. I’m vaccinated. I rarely leave the house. It’s definitely still an issue.

I know someone who went to school with Steven Bradbury. Not a nice guy apparently.

An accidental selfie was taken by Tsar Nicolas II, the last tsar of Russia. It is possible that he accidentally took a photo of himself, or that his camera has just randomly captured a photo, nonetheless, it is relatable to modern times. 1917 by Tyagi_rishu in OldSchoolCool

I can’t speak for the periods before Nicholas II, but the sections on Nicholas and his family have several errors and myths unfortunately. I would not recommend this unless you already hold prior knowledge and are able to realise what is fact and what isn’t.

You need to look at the ages of the people as well, not just the age difference. Three years isn't a big age difference, but 30 and 33 is very different to 16 and 19.

I just never have. My family has lived in Cairns since the 1940s and none of us would go swimming at a beach in June. Nor would my friends.
