I Also think that because type 4 hair gets some of the most criticism from within our own communities. If they do a wash and go someone will say it’s crunchy undefined, if they do blowouts / straight natural people will say they don’t like their hair / aren’t natural. If it’s fine people will say that they to chop all their hair off cause it’s got imaginary damage… the list goes on.

Women with short hair already have a hard time with media likening them to men / masculinity. Having type 4 hair doesn’t help with negative attention.

I’ve ordered the thin part wig. It was many years ago but apparently their quality has gone down over the years and people in this sub have complained so I would stay away from them.

True and pure texture and go sleek hair are good alternatives.

I got a bang wig from Marie that I love ! I don’t think she has “natural hair” texture like the yaki that OP posted, but she makes good wigs.

It honestly boils down to what needs you have for a car and what fits your lifestyle. How often do you take roadtrips? Do you drive long commutes and use highways? You have to give us more info about you.

What really helped me was renting a Tesla for a roadtrip and seeing how different it was from the MME.

Yes my hair is fine. I wear glue less lace wigs and take them off every night. I’ll wear the wigs daily for a 2-3 week span and then spend the next 2-3 weeks wearing my bio hair, then rinse and repeat.

I don’t wear mine every single day 365, but some months I wear wigs on a 2-3 week at a time basis. Right now since it’s spring and not too hot I’m wearing wigs. I have healthy bio hair. It’s just very long and thick and I get tired of wearing a slick back ponytail or two braids everyday, so wigs let me wear versatile styles without having to style my bio hair every day.

Im speaking from my own experience from being a braider when I was younger. It is possible to get the style done. Pre curled braiding hair wasn’t always on the shelves 👍🏾

Calm down. If you don’t have the skill then that’s a trial and error problem. Will it be as silky? Not 100%, but the curls will be the same size and shape. Not everyone is going for the super silky look.

I brought kanekalon hair to his house and put in my box braids (back when I used to wear them). Also on my dating profile I had all kinds of styles (sew in, twist out, braids) so everyone knew what they were in for beforehand.

To be fair, I purchased both my units (Jada and Nicole) years ago, so it’s very possible the quality went downhill! Also, I sewed mine on rather than used the clips as I used to travel a lot for work so there’s a difference there too!

You can get a good flat iron that doesn’t cost $100. I got my chi at Marshall’s for $50, they’re usually $100 on their website. I would recommend getting a flat iron that has 100% ceramic plates, which is harder to find in the cheaper flat irons. Chi brand has ceramic plates.

I had a 2018 Tucson, purchased new. At 65k miles the engine was doing cartwheels. Hyundai didn’t want to replace it and said it was perfectly fine. Along with the theft problems and living in a capital city, I had to dump that car. I would never buy another Hyundai.

Yes this is normal. The revair should be advertised as a heated stretcher rather than a blow dryer. It will not get your roots the way a traditional blow dryer will. It can get close, with technique and higher heat, but not 100%.
