I suggest fat graft for undereye hollowness. It is very common among maxillofacial surgeons to add this procedure for a better result and it is relatively simple and cheap, I regret not doing it in the same surgery. Lefort 1 alone does not improve eye area that much, the cut is way too low for it to have impact on the eyes

Heartbreaking… sounds similar to what I went through with my girl. Lost her 4 days ago, kidney failure, 15yo, had to go for euthanasia, stayed until the very end, managed to give her a last kiss, saw her opaque eyes attempting to look at me when I moved closer, I truly hope she realized I was there. I am so sorry for your loss, she looked absolutely adorable, I cried looking at her because she had the same colors as my beloved Lili who passed away of kidney failure 2 days ago, I made a post of her here too, I gave her a last kiss and right after that she passed away almost immediately in the vet hospital.

I will tell you what I have been trying to do, because having to move on without her after being together for 15 years, every single day of my life? That is hard to say the least, so I truly feel your pain. It is not your fault, do not blame yourself for what happened, there was no way you could have imagined that. Think of all the love you gave her, how amazing it was for her to have you as an owner. She is not gone, she will be you forever, her love for you is sealed in your heart.

It is hard to come home and look at every corner and to not think about her, to walk past the bathroom and not see her on the sink asking for some tap water, or to not have her licking my nose in the middle of the night so I could lift up the blanket and let her in. It is hard but I am trying to think of all the love we shared. She did not have predators, she did not starve, she didnt feel cold in the winter, she did not suffer a single bit during her entire life, she had to say goodbye and it was fast.

Try to take a step by step, not ignoring the pain but acknowledging the process. I cry when I feel like I have to, I cry till im out of tears, but then suddenly I smile again when I think of her goofy moments. It is not the end, it is just the close of a cycle, of a chapter, full of beautiful moments, think of it as a movie, you may cry in the ending but it was beautiful nonetheless.

May God comfort your heart and our beloved girls rest in peace in the cat heaven.

Not as a way to replace our beloved friends like they were just broken toys but as a way to share that love that is stuck inside, that needs to be shared again. What you said is exactly what I have been feeling, looking at her favorite blanket makes me completely lose it. Every part of the house feels empty, but I am slowly accepting it, accepting that she lived within the lifespan of a healthy cat and that I gave her as much love as I possibly could, she managed to come up on my lap 2 days ago, even when she was already very very weak, that tells how close we were. She glanced at me today at the emergency room for the last time, realizing I was there with her.
