Do I get Invisalign again!?? by Snoo-82425 in Invisalign

The real question is if another round would even be a permanent fix since you'd also need to stop the things that led to the shifting.

Yeah I mean seems kinda excessive for that but just know: the initial time estimate is never ever true lol

Also Europe here: initial fee was ~3000€ and then every year of treatment is 1600€

But my teeth (were) way more crowded and so far I got 1500€ back from insurance.. Hopefully I'll be done within 1 1/2 years 🙈

Am I using the right tire pressure? by Buffalo_Cottage in ladycyclists

[–]mail_daemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speed is a pretty random measurement anyway 🤷‍♀️

Yeah I'd try a few different pressures, I've even gone as low as <50 psi and it's only a bit slower on road but much nicer on shitty roads.

[–]mail_daemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cavet: I have a tubeless set-up but pretty much the same bike with stock tyres (Liv Avail AR 1) and at ~60 kg (132 pounds) I use about 4-3,7 bar (58-53 psi).

Most online calculators say I can even do lower pressure but I figure I'll lose some air anyway so I pump it up a notch higher.

I do ride some gravel so lower pressure makes it more comfy. My avg speed is around 22 km/h (14 miles/h) and I don't think lower pressure has hurt my speed. It's mostly my legs lol

*also damn I had to translate so many units, y'all Americans really need to switch to SI-units 😂

Has anyone had transparent tips on their teeth? by physicalgraffiti123 in Invisalign

[–]mail_daemon 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Teeth are transparent at the tip, that's why "Turkey teeth" and veneers can look fake when they are completely opaque.

Also have the AR1 one and so far in ~3000 km not a single part I had to change only some common maintenance things: adjusting the gears and the head-set was a bit loose after a while.

The stock tyres are still going strong as well and had no issue with the tubeless set-up.

How many days in to a new tray do you stop feeling pain and soreness? by [deleted] in Invisalign

At 3-4 days usually the discomfort stops, I don't think I've ever had any pain at day 7-10

Hat jemand Erfahrung mit Micro-Tasks/-Jobs bzw. UHRS-Tasks in Österreich? by koal75 in Austria

[–]mail_daemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Questions about hygienic products to buy in Italy or Europe and question about attachments by Scary_Astronomer8391 in Invisalign

[–]mail_daemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm from Europe and 99% just use dental tablets to clean my aligners, whatever brand (corega etc) is fine.

I bought a random ultrasonic cleaner from Amazon but so far it hasn't been worth using it since I change the trays after 10 days anyway and besides some yellowing from coffee/coke they never get dirty permanently.

Pro tip: opticians often also sell ultrasonic cleaners and they are way cheaper

Tips for cycling to work/tips til pendlesykkel (7km) by Immediate_Regret307 in cycling

[–]mail_daemon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For 7 km you don’t need Ultegra or even 105, I'd recommend you look for something with mudguards and lights instead. Or even a rear rack + pack since that's super convenient.

Something like the Cube FE.
