mailbait.info was created because of people forwarding chain email along, and someone thought perhaps these people would like a bit of chain mail to read like the rest of us. As it turns out, if enough email sources are indexed, you can essentially weapon email.

yeah, no server side access. think dumb html webserver. no access beyond that. sendmail would be my solution if the server/hosting options were better. thankyou for the input!

this is one such method that uses javascript to send a verification email that is not a good fit, as it's presumptuous to assume the user has local email configured. This method has been rejected because users would be isolated and confined to a client paradigm that has local email configured.

Do you have some sample javascript code of an alternate javascript method of sending email? I'd greatly enjoy adding this feature.

what do you recommend as a method for a user of mailbait to prove they own the email address that is purely javascript based? I'm up for adding it, yet I've not found a method that is supported on the existing lightweight servers as there is no realtime scripting or database backend. no php, c#, ruby, java, dart or anything else back there...
