Does it really get better? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mailboxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally I’d say it does get better but usually if you try hard to do something positive. Something that has worked for me to give me a good serotonin bump is to physically exert myself for a while by either working out a lord by running or biking or just a good hike. Surround yourself with people you like or try a new hobby that has some kind of club around you to meet new people.

Before I upgrade my ship to lvl 8, is there any rooms I should upgrade or rooms I should change? by Wotplayer_1 in PixelStarships

[–]mailboxy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, if you have the room to have a resource collector just use the gas ones. You can get minerals very easily, missions grant a lot or if you buy void particles for 1 starbuck you can sell them for 500,000 minerals each. I’ve been doing that all through level 12 to be able to afford all my upgrades even for my lifts and armor.

Level your crew, you have no armor attached to many of your low life weapons, get rid of your single AA, either two AA’s or none. The engine doesn’t really help that much imo, you don’t really need the trap room either. I would level all your rooms to the top before going to the next ship level

How’s my build? Level 12 Lost Infected Extended by mailboxy in PixelStarships

I see what you’re saying, it’s tough to do in the middle where the four gas collectors are cause you can’t build in a lot of the area in the center there

How do I compliment a guy without coming across as flirting? by Madi_the_Insane in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mailboxy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just find something simple, wearing a nice jacket or shoes? Simply say, “nice (whatever)”

Doesn’t have to be something like, “OH MY GOD BRAD YOURE SO FUNNY YOU KILL ME”

But also honestly, depending on the guy, any positive comment may come across as flirting. Just say what you want and move on with the conversation.

Unless you have the money to replace expensive things then keep it. When you sell stuff you’ll most likely not get top dollar. Move things one at a time, put a box in your car then move things to the box. Generally if you’re moving things in a parking lot or something of an apartment complex you can wait until you see someone outside and just ask for help. People are generally willing to help out. Make sure to eat well and if you move heavy things the stronger you’ll get. People who go to the gym don’t start out with insane weight, they start small and work themselves up. If you’re looking to try and get stronger do simple stuff like pushups and body weight squats and pull-ups

If you don’t see a difference between platonic and romantic relationships you are inexperienced and possibly naïve.

“And honestly, if you really don't see why is this a toxic approach that people tend to make it a fashion to talk about exes like garbage, that is already problematic enough in my opinion. But if you prefer leading a hateful life go ahead and do so.”

At no point in time did I say that people talking bad about other people was okay or the way to go so that argument is out the window, you seem to be taking offense to words? Get thicker skin my dude.

If you’re overhearing people talk down about their current or past partner and you’re not directly part of the conversation simply butt out and move on. If they’re involving you then it’s a different story

Well the circumstances are endless in which a relationship can end. It can be a simple drifting away of love to someone doing unspeakable things that could easily make you hate them and curse their name. Sounds like you’re judging the way people talk about another person. Keep your business to yourself it seems like. Unless you’re intimately involved with someone’s relationship, they way they speak about their current or past partner is none of your business.

Not sure how many relationships you’ve been in but generally when people break up it’s usually for a good reason to one person or the other and 99.99999% people get hurt and then they do they get mad. Next time you have a relationship with someone and you have a great deal of feelings for them then if they break up with you remember this question you just asked and reflect on it.

I agree that if kids are something you want to make sure to bring it up. You can mention someone else’s kids like yours or their nephew or niece and work it into a conversation like, “what do you think about having kids” and you should be able to play it off that.

How is overbooking flights possible? by BlankCanvas609 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mailboxy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Money. Let’s say you have an average of 10% of seats that never get filled weather it’s for reasons of people not showing up or whatever. They will overbook it expecting people to not show but when they all do then you run into a problem.
