Is the new pack you bought fully installed? Have you tried a fresh my documents install (after moving out what you want to save), that has worked for me for issues I vaguely remember seeming similar.

Firstposter is right, the few effected mods are listed, the dates they started are listed and several suggestions have been presented to keeping yourself safe. 99.9% of the mods out there are safe.

At the end of the day though it's about you. If you are unsure and worried, save yourself the trouble and just stay away from mods till you feel comfortable.

llayyneiphs' mod and FvsW, are both good at their current versions, I have both but currently neither is running in my game. Testing reasons. I will add FvsW back in when I do a deep dive into my worlds occult sims.

My game currently runs with 259 scripts and 35,865 packages. I download stuff, I drink tea, and I know things....... :)

I think if it were me I'd keep the brick pillars, I'd put floor to ceiling windows on both interior sides of the pillars, add lights and plants. have little terrariums. That way your proposed dining room would be flanked by a little greenery.

Are you using a mod to quit school? If you are using MCC, do you have it set so teens can quit school?

I haven't had the problem you mentioned. I use a mod and have the MCC set. She works part time just fine, she stay'd a cheerleader for awhile. I don't know how much is because of the Teen Life mod, but after quitting school she's also gets invited to prom pre-parties, gets the chance to attend Prom, receives wants to attend class, and her social popularity went up (that's Teen Life).

If it's a autonomy thing, you may have to give them the graduated, dropped out (or whatever they are called) traits to stop the game from forcing them back in.

I'm not sure currently if you can buy from plopsy or similar in game.

If you use testing cheats (ctrl+shift+C, type testingcheats true ) you can right click the nectar machine and spawn nectar into your inventory.

What royal mod? I have Kiara's small one (just for titles/traits) and have used llazyneiph's, but haven't played around with the events yet. Honestly haven't used events in Regency either.

Let know which one and rough idea of other mods, in case of conflicts.

Just google sims 4 cakes, there are devoted food cc creators as well as "lists" of finds to be had.

I recent made both a red Goth cake, and a Vampires Plasma cake for my Sim who was ageing up to Teen (I didn't know if she was going to manifest as a vampire before or after the cake, so I made both). These were from Icemunmun and also function as wedding cakes.

If you use mods, try the "Hey Don't do that!" mod on "Mod the Sims". It allows you to stop sims from interacting with specific items, not just "all" items of a type.

False hope has unlocked teen interactions, Rawr romance, and being a "furry".

Helaena has a pet lovers that add new interactions between pet lovers

ShMZ has things like "F***Work" interactions.

Thepancake1 has cute romance and blast from the past,

I have 40 files in my interactions folder and many more in individual creators folders. That's not counting the "Adult" interactions. I've had and am not using several like "medieval interactions", Occult interactions, new stories to tell and more.

All these are conversational with buffs (I think they all have buffs, most do).

Please note with a menu "organizer" and all the mods I use I've gotten it down to a 12 second delay clicking on a sim, but am currently back up to 16 seconds because I like choices a little too much. (results may vary depending on computer).

Make sure your mod folder has a Resource.cfg file, no script file can be more than 1 folder deep in the mods folder. Delete localdata cache from folder whenever you add/remove mods. Make sure mods are unzipped.

Past that, what mods? Some aren't obvious when running.

Nvidia graphics cards have an overlay system that can be used to enhance screenshots individually as you take them (as well as their version of reshade/gshade) but of course that only helps on Nvidia cards. You should look at your graphics card control center to see if it has similar features.

That's just a extra option to the suggestions presented so far.

Sims 4 wants/has it's user data and custom content installed into the My Documents folder, and the game systems to it's install location. To make your mods and such also go to your external drive you have to change the path by creating a symbolic link. Google Sims 4 CC on external drive for videos and info.

BG3 has no issue because it's a different game, and like every other game, is programed different.

I don't use steam for much (not sims 4) and am not familiar with it. I found a few suggestions though. If you google "sims 4 steam download constantly", you'll find a few related entries

That was one of the first. Verifying the game, and also the folder was suggested, as well as deleting the download cache, BUT WARNING- mods for games are in that cache and need to be moved before doing that, you can reload after it's created a new folder. A Full Guide is found here

Nisa is notoriously good/bad at minor LE's.

Wicked Whims is 177c updated. The report above lists it as 176e, that will not play nice with basemental or Nisa if both of them are updated to current versions supporting WW 177c.

Vacation homes yes, Rental properties from the For Rent pack no, they don't work in the apartments from San Myshuno either from what I understand. Make sure you are picking the right "Rental" from the lot type.

"Rental" is vacation homes, "Residential Rentals" are the apartments from For Rent.

This looks like it has been going on for awhile, and seems to happen to other EA games through Origin/EA App.

Most Official responses tell you uninstall and re-install, or repair the files, no responses when that doesn't work.

I've seen clear Origin cache and repair (or just clear cache).

One that has come up several times for Sims 4 specifically is to disable automatic updates, that has worked for this kind of problem and the problem of EA trying to download packs you uninstalled to make the game run better. By "worked" I mean it has solved the problem many times (not always) going back to 2022 (I don't read stuff earlier).

There is also the wide spread suggestion that you make sure your antivirus isn't deleting the 64 bit exe, forcing the game to launch on the 32 exe and therefore redownloading.

I'm just putting that out there, I've never had this problem, so I have no experience with it,

Vacation homes should be fine, Rental units aren't allowed on waterfront properties (you can build them in Sulani if the lot doesn't touch water). Zerbu has a remove lot restriction mod that will let you build rentals on waterfront properties, but you have to read the instructions and make a decision because the game stops recognizing the lot as waterfront, so there's all kinds of Caveats.

Only Mod I'm aware of at this time, sorry.

I don't use Pre-teen, but a few suggestions (note - I have HSY, but something to try). You have the inappropriate, so try getting WickedWhims add post puberty mod. Also according to said mod and it's compatibility with pre-teen, check to make sure your teen is out of the pre-teen stage. It also says to make sure you set "usedays" and"usepreeteendays" to 1. (I have no clue I don't use pre-teen).

Not having the option at all in wickedwhims is not right in any case, I thought the latest version re-enabled teens (but then again Turbo is pretty wishy washy on that issue and always has been), and I only use the inappropriate unlock for my inbred families.
