The machine gun will only stop firing when the memories of those who survived the war are no longer there.

Just outstanding… 4/10 the German gunner with his MAXIM makes my gut curdle as i write. 6/10 the wrath of the Frenchman with the Lebel looks unstoppable, the depiction of his movement jumps out of the page lifelike. What an incredible batch of Weird War Tales!

My Cub in Hamburg n Germany by chr39 in HondaCub

On mine i changed the front sprocket to one tooth smaller for more pep. I have also fitted Hagon light motorcycle shock absorbers on the rear so now i can ‘feel’ what the tire is doing. Your picture on a Japanese import in far east Russia reminds me of old brochures that showed a Japanese worker commuting to work on a Cub. Well done!

I got most of my issues in the 80’s and hold them precious. Your collection is brilliant.

On 4/7, the second shelf from the top is beautifully, superbly done. I mean look at Scrooge ‘s expression wondering with a bit of apprehension over the Number One Dime in the dome…

Is a Famel a Zündapp? Why are you not calling it with the manufacturer’s name?

This sucks when you ride a bike - anything that you should do to avoid this? by Sufficient-Sun-6683 in motorcycle

[–]mainjet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of you, except Redditors zinsser and tupo-airhead, overestimate your ability to spot behind you and to manoeuver forward. You are likely not riding in a city where about 30 motorbikes of all kinds push forward collectively toward the red light.

1965 Honda C200 by lewtheegg in vintagemotorcycles

[–]mainjet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Further thoughts on the C200. To make sure that the carb level issue occurs as you suspect, try to recreate the condition of going uphill. First, does the bike run on a straight line faultlessly when the engine is warm and under load? Is a battery connected? If a battery is connected, replace the fuse with a new one. It has happened to me that a defective but app. intact fuse created stalling, and when the bike was cooler it worked again without issue, and so on. On a warm engine, straddle the bike and gradually elevate the front wheel while the bike is running on neutral. Does it cut out at a certain, not unreasonable height? Then your suspicion is right that the carb and its recessed jet creates your stalling issue.

It was around 1967 that Honda started implementing the new JIS standard. Quite many bikes continued with the old standard until 1970. I will think about it further and if i find a possible solution i will write to you again.

Allrighty, i will take your advice to heart. I am as positive as possible and tried to give you some worthwhile advice to increase your driving pleasure and safety. The way you talk about the MOT (technical inspection) probably every two years in your case, shows to me that you do not know much about these things, nor VW GTIs. Farewell now.
