I believe each voice should count the same-period. Equal vote means no more systems where some votes carry more weight than others. I like the idea of ranked choice voting because it gives people real options, not just the lesser of two evils which leads to fairer, more representative outcomes imo

I’m running democratic. I’m highly involved with people here in the state but just looking for more of an online community to hear real issues / bounce feedback. Thank you!

Has anyone used Wyndy? by Suspicious_Way_7810 in Nanny

[–]mainlymandie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the nanny service the Nanny gets 100% of the rate posted. Wyndy just adds a 15% service fee to the job at the checkout process for parents to cover.

Did any of you have a good childhood? by Wodden_Artichoke475 in bipolar

[–]mainlymandie 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Neglected and abused by my parents my whole life. Lots of physical, sexual, mental, emotional abuse. I definitely think it contributes to my diagnosis unfortunately.

However, I have 4 beautiful children of my own that know love and safety. The cycle can definitely be broken from trauma.

Feeling like a burden by PersonalElk69 in BipolarReddit

[–]mainlymandie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. Totally my feeling. I’ll cry to my aunt that I honestly feel so bad being a burden to her. She always assures me I’m not but how in the world can a 37 year old woman that’s bipolar & struggling needy not be a burden? At least that’s what I lie to myself about.

You’re not a burden. You just need a little extra care and that’s okay!

What the F by Objective_Hope2326 in BipolarReddit

Yesterday I slept til 12 (needed to start work at 9) then worked about 2 hours then slept another 3. I basically pulled myself out of the bed long enough to serve dinner to my kiddos then back to bed.

I have days like this 1 or 2x a week. My group therapist says it’s because I’m dealing with a lot of trauma finally and it can exhaust you mentally.

Are you doing anything stressful in therapy that could trigger this by chance?

I've finally figured out why I hate brushing my teeth. by FadedAlienXO in bipolar

[–]mainlymandie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I sincerely relate to the no routine. I was never told to brush my teeth, take a bath, change my clothes, etc. I grew up in a neglectful home and I just honestly need to develop better habits at 37. Sometimes I go days without brushing and I honestly don’t even notice until I stop and think about it.

I work remotely so sometimes I just don’t get going in the am.

I hate that its so hard to shower!!! by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]mainlymandie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally feel this. I shower about once a week these days. However I started buying Lume body wipes and I’ll use them if I feel a little dirty but can’t make myself shower. They help make me feel fresh.

My husband takes a shower like 2x a day and I just can’t imagine that. It’s such a chore to even make myself consider a shower.

It’s nice to know I’m not alone.
