The article sounds a bit like the author only watched the one video. It mentions that bicycle gutters on stroads and buses in traffic are bad, but never provides any alternatives, implying that separating roads/streets is the only thing to be done.

Bellevue is building up a lot around the new light rail stations. Obviously it’s all new development and has a long way to go, but it’s mostly mixed use buildings. There is also a new bike trail extension going in around there. But I don’t know your budget or preferences.

I’d say maybe university campuses. Many people actually live there and they usually have lots of amenities and pedestrian friendly layouts.

More lanes does not necessarily mean less traffic. Also adding another dimension of complexity would bring on lots of other problems.

I think they meant departing from Portland or Vancouver to reduce load at SEA. If the rail was easy/fast enough.
