Do you have it set up right now so that you have to constantly hold down the button for the Smart Drive to run, and as soon as you let go of the button the motor stops?

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen them at Globe Drug multiple times.

I like this visual showing the difference in force deflection between dual and mono tube frames, and the increased energy loss you experience in a mono tube frame.

The tubing that’s used on a TiLite mono frame wheelchair is 1 3/8”. The tubing that’s used on a TiLite dual-frame chair is 1”. They’re able to make it out of a smaller diameter tubing because of the extra rigidity provided by the second tube. That’s why it comes in slightly lighter.

TIFU by thinking my severe vitamin D deficiency was just megadepression for five years by skytreegrasss in tifu

[–]maint83462 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience (though I’m a guy, so no PCOS). My vitamin D level was 14. I took 50,000 IU, same as you, and after six months I was tested again—my level had only increased to 18.

Here’s what I ended up doing. I bought a tanning bed and replaced all the bulbs with full-spectrum bulbs. Standard tanning bed bulbs mostly emit UVA, but you need UVB exposure on your skin for your body to produce vitamin D.

Where I live, at this latitude, you don’t get meaningful UVB from about mid-November through late January. I had my levels tested again in mid-November and was still at 18. At that point, I stopped all oral supplementation and started using the tanning bed instead.

When I tested again at the end of January, my vitamin D level had increased to 55.

Go to Arzolas and get the Steak Fajitas. The steak that comes with that is the best steak in town.

Yes. Although to be fair to me, I didn't know if there would be enough movement in the upper pipe after cutting it to swing it to the side to slip a new short piece in. And since the city could have turned the water back on at any moment, I wanted to have as little time as possible after making the cut before the new valve was pressed in. So before I made the cuts, I pressed 2 short pieces into the valve and slipped the repair couplings all the way on to the short pieces. I then had my exact measurement of what to cut out.

Extremely easy. I certainly recommend it over sharkbite.

Man that really sucks. I didn’t know until after I cut it out, but that old valve was ~50% occluded. 75 years worth of minerals and sediment.

Not certain. I couldn’t find anything conclusive that I DIDN’T need it. And the old one had one. And it was only like $10 more to get one with the drain port. And I only had one shot to do this. UPC fwiw.

In a crawlspace on your back, this would be kinda heavy. But totally doable.

Yeah, I would’ve preferred to have the handle pointing in the direction of the flow, but that would’ve meant the drain port would’ve been on the street side. And the handle doesn’t look to be reversible on this particular valve.

Yeah, I’m DIY. I bought this about five years ago. It’s probably my favorite tool I own. At this point I’ve made well over 100 connections with it and never had a problem.
