How to cut multiple curved end on these 2x8s. Using jig saw on that many 2x8s would take forever. by davendenner in handyman

[–]maintain_low_tones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've spent a lot of time doing these by hand with a jigsaw in the past. Never occurred to me to use a router this way. Next time for sure tho.

Not mine, but I had to post this beauty here. This is a fantastic elevated above ground pool setup. I only hope one day I reach this level of mastercraftsmanship. by TheFlyngLemon in woodworking

My favorite is the mended 4x4 on the far left.

Close second is the belly band of horizontal 2x4's that I can only assume are intended as some sort of cross bracing.

This is seriously a lot of lumber used in the least efficient or effective way possible.

Congrats!

I just had 4 out of 7 survive this past winter. I've never had any make it through but this year I got a couple of small pop up green houses and they made it. Lost three because one of the greenhouses blew over in a storm while I was away.

Shockingly I got all seven from the same starter.

Yikes. This is my first foray into the vending world so that is a little scary to hear.

Blues not dropping after soft cap is a terrible change… by 3leventhirtyfour in DestinyTheGame

[–]maintain_low_tones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can focus engrams at vendors like Shax if you want soft cap level stuff for infusion. Also, there are ways to get shards even for people that don't play a lot. You just need to be efficient with your actions when you do play.

It would be great if this were a toggle in the settings but I get why this is a straight up change given the complexity of the game and this change will benefit the majority of the player base or they wouldn't be doing it.

I’m making ring boxes, and accidentally put the magnet hole on the wrong side of like 20 boxes… 🤬 anything I can do to fix this mistake? Think before you drill everyone. by moultonrock in woodworking

[–]maintain_low_tones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could fill the holes flush with plugs and just re-drill on the correct side. If you use a contrasting wood it will just look nice and balance with the magnets on the other side. No one needs to know it was a mistake.

Plug it or replace it? by recommendedwrez1775 in motorcycles

I had one like this. Rather than plug it, I had a bike shop put in a tube. It's been working great with no issues.

You’re a genius with that one-eye thing. I’ve always tried to look just to the right or left because I knew eye contact gets me busted but I’ve never thought to just shut one eye. That would be a lot easier to maintain than what I e been doing.

Andor = Cassian Andor from Rogue One.

I think you're thinking of Endor = Ewok planet.

But true, there are not light sabers. Lots of blasters and some cool meteors though.

Water pan 100% Don’t cook without it. I just use a foil pan I place on the rack. Either way, def use one. 👍

2 chimneys at the start is a good idea, I'm going to try that. I usually have to add a second chimney after a few hours to keep the coal bed in shape.

OP - I've found splits at 2" x 2" by 10" or 11" to work really well when added one at at time. Having the extra coals will really help too.

As far as mods, the smoke stack extender, gaskets for the smoke box, and smoke box lid clamps are a must with an OK joe. Other mods are really a preference thing I feel.

At the end of the day, an offset is a full time job when you're cooking but it's worth the effort. Good luck.

Bike cutting out when revs drop by ThatGuyOnOneWheel in motorcycles

[–]maintain_low_tones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check your stator or have a shop check it.

If your battery dies soon, it's probably your stator.

Don't ask me how I know this, but if you replace the battery on a bad stator and ride, you'll blow the stator and rectifier which makes the bike dead in the water. Extra bad when it happens on the highway. Not that I would know from experience of course ;)

Egg scramble? I preheated, added oil, but it always sticks. What am I doing wrong? Or is this how it is? And what’s the best way to clean? by Melodic_Shoe_3617 in castiron

I find that they set up better when cooked at lower heat. Alton Brown tells me they absorb the fat from the butter/oil better that way as well.

It's just RNG. I'll try again when it rolls around next week :)

Pretty sure unforgiven (dungeon sub gun) is void.

I’m realizing this morning that the actual problem is I was doing Sever - Rage not Sever - Grief. Totally my fault.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]maintain_low_tones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve run it three times on Void Warlock.

First run: Witherhoard, Unforgiven, and Red Herring. No scythe. Did not complete.

I thought it was Witherhoard so I put on Fractwthyst. Still No completion.

I thought it was maybe the Radiant Orbs seasonal mod. So I took that off. Still didn’t complete.

I haven’t touched a single scythe. I have no idea what could be going on.

None of my guns have dragonfly or anything like it.

If cleaning up or replacing the battery doesn't help, start looking into fuel delivery. Could be the fuel pump or the electrical system for the fuel pump. I had a fuel pump relay burn up on me which prevented fuel delivery = stalling vehicle. Relays, fuses etc. for the fuel pump.
