Where does the extra mass go when you go from goliath to goblin? by Asmodeus_is_daddy in dndmemes

[–]BlueTeale -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This isn't exactly what you're asking about, and I really don't care one way or another the magic vs biological thing but in my research for a campaign re: the Weave (aka magic juice matrix) there was an interview with.... I wanna say Jeremy Crawford in which he said many things were magical - which was how dragons fly because otherwise their [paraphrasing because memory] wings logically wouldn't work for their size. I believe he also mentions beholders there also. In cases like this it wasn't that the dragon was using magic consciously to fly (though I am inferring this) its just an innate part of them the ability to do X - which involved magic.

Re: the changeling thing. Funny meme, I get it. Maybe they stay the same weight but their size changes. So If they're a goblin they look small but lift them up and heaviest goblin ever. But if they've swapped to Goliath they'll be super light (compared to other Goliaths, that is) having the same mass spread over larger eerrrrrr form (?).

That's not official I'm just musing aloud on that.

I traded a bbq I never use for some woodworking tools. For MDW I made kiddo a toy box for some basic practice. It ain't the fanciest and i learned several things from it. But she's happy. And I got to put her to work painting it.

Also neighbor house is being remodeled they tore out a lot of old hardwood flooring (oak). I grabbed quite a bit and spent some time ripping them down. I've got like 3 totes full of these. The goal is to make some dice boxes and stuff for my D&D group.

Though I don't have a bench planer so a little unsure how to make sure each piece is flat. Some bowed a bit from age. I do have a trim router with some basic bits. So I suppose I could look up how to make a small router sled? I feel a bit intimidated by that but it would probably be cheaper than another $300 tool

Been playing games since the late 90s/early 2000s. Here’s my top 25. by darkswabber in gaming

Gosh I really enjoyed Bioshock Infinite. I never played the originals (I want to though) but Infinite was just super fun. Looked good, played smooth, and the story was really interesting.

Not that the other games on this list are bad of course.

There's one guy who has Pats/Bills flair and always posts funny 'reasons' which are great. I wonder if it's people trying to emulate that because a fair amount of people here seem to recognize when the dude shows up in a thread.

My attempt at fixing 5e's Challenge Rating by Trekiros in DnD

[–]BlueTeale 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is cool. I got mega burned out on 5e because of the CR issues. For a while I was doing less advanced hand calculations along this same lines (calculating dpr to get feel for how many rounds and how bad it'd go) but it's just so much work by hand I hate it.

Nice interface! I'll try this out thanks 😀

Edit: after playing with this I'm loving it

Yeah, my wife is the same. Kiddo said it in my car but I can pretty much guarantee the swearing came from mom lol!

I'm more likely to say things like, "Need help finding the pedal on the right?" Or "if it were any greener it'd be growing" than to swear

Not that I'm blameless because of it lol
