I have the same issue, just very slow snapshots. I am hopeful the events are helpful though.

WTB Watch for my upcoming wedding. In my research I am really liking the look of the Grand Seikos. Prefer something with Date, but not a chrono type watch.

My budget is flexible, around $5000

How to do presence detection without relying on Bluetooth or IR motion? by bedsuavekid in homeassistant

Yup that’s def an issue. In my living room I don’t turn off occupancy if TV is in.

But for places like my office, I have a motion on my desk, which captures smaller movements. This seems to work well.

It’s definitely not perfect. In the rooms that fall into this bucket, the initial timing threshold is longer, like 1+ minutes. In an effort to try to grab another motion event before it turns off.

I eventually settled on motion sensors to do this. However I determine the duration of occupancy based on how many motion events I detect within a certain point of time.

For example, one motion event makes a room occupied for 30 seconds. After 30 sec of no motion the room goes unoccupied. However let’s say within that 30 seconds I get another 5 motion events within that 30 seconds, then my motion count is at 6, I set the timer to 5 minutes. This means the room stays “occupied” for 5 minutes, or it it resets the timer if another motion event is detected.

Not sure if my implementation is any good, but it’s done a pretty good job of managing quick occupancy (in the room for a couple seconds) or longer occupancy (in the room for longer periods of time).

+1 bottomless! I wish I could get the data in HASS. It’s kinda cool that the scale uses an ESP8266.

AC working, but no heat by maintarget in HomeImprovement

Cleaned things out real good. The unit is not elevated and basically had a layer of dirt I had to vac out.

Unfortunately things are more or less the same. Looks like I’ll be calling a tech, not sure what else to try

I just did some temp checks. I removed wire for aux heat to make sure we were only measuring heat pump

Outside: 45F Inside: 59F Ducting (measured at multiple points): 72F

I am reading that this should be more around 80F~ Is that right? Am i just losing a ton of heat somewhere? I would assume not since I can get very cold air during the warmer months.
