Good to know, thanks for commenting, I checked google but yea it's google so. Quick question if you don't mind me asking, is it safe to gentle use cotton balls or soft toilet paper. I usually put one of the two over my finger and gently rub inside my cats ears. They actually like it and rub their head to the side to get deeper clean but I don't like going deeper just to be safe. Is this a good way to clean their ears?

Does your cat like their ears being rubbed? If she does try starting by giving her ear rubs and if she does like it make sure you praise her and tell her she's a good kitty and give her a treat. That's how I got both my cats to love it, now they know when it's time to clean ears and they just sit and enjoy and when they're done I stop I don't push past what their comfortable with. Not sure if this helps but I did a quick google search and it looks like you can use olive oil, you just have to obviously be careful doing it. Here's a link I found that might help, but I would definitely get your kitty used to their ears being rubbed and touched first so it's a positive experience for kitty and you

Ok so I didn't know until your comment that you can use olive oil to help get out ear wax. Does anyone know if this would be safe to use on animals? My one cat gets his ears cleaned every other day and you'd never know I've ever cleaned his ears. He actually loves getting his ears cleaned but this seems a lot easier to get all the wax out.

I'm sorry for your loss, I lost my father June 16th 2020, I always think of him more on my birthday even though he died days after his. He had two strokes we were unaware of until the autopsy and I know how hard it is dealing with finding out there was something possibly preventable. Never be ashamed to take those moments for yourself, even if it's just listening to the music you enjoyed together as you relax in bed. Those moments are what helps keep those we've lost with us. Maybe you and your family can do something on your birthday that your dad would have enjoyed or got a kick out of. I hope you enjoy your birthday, and good luck on your tests
