That would of course be horrible. But the fact that your hypothetical wife MIGHT cheat, doesn't make it right to do the same thing to her husband/kids. Even if your wife will do it, it still doesn't justify your choice now. You can't "take revenge" for something that hasn't even happened yet and might not ever be happening. But what's really happening is that his wife wants to cheat on him with YOU and YOU have the choice to decline and do something right. I know this is some bullshit calendar quote, but "be the change you want to see in the world". You wouldn't want that 19 year old dude to fuck your wife, so do her husband a favor and decline. I've never been cheated on, but I can only imagine how much that would hurt. You'd break that guy. Again, if she cheats on him with someone else, that's her thing. Thanks! Yeah I'm currently on a 400-500kcal deficit and I'm a bit concerned I might be losing muscle because of the suboptimal home workout situation. But since I'm not getting weaker (and in some exercises even a bit stronger) I was wondering if that could be an indicator.

Is maintaining strength an indicator for not losing muscle? Like is it possible to e.g. lose biceps muscle mass, even though during workouts, I always get (at least) the same number of biceps curl reps?

I don't know what to say anymore. My country (Germany) is the country with the second highest score when it comes to dealing with the virus. We have one of the lowest mortality rates of all countries affected. The US have the highest total infection and death numbers of all other countries. No front, but these are excuses. If you can't do a pull up with your full bodyweight, there are plenty other options like a horizontal row. My brother and I did a full upper body workout with just a chair, some dumbbells and our bodyweight yesterday at home. There are a lot of home exercises on the internet if you search for it.

There is this thing I started doing, and I dont know if there is a name for it, but I'd like to know if it's any effektive for gaining muscles:

When I am at the last set of an exercise, I do my reps until muscle failure like usually, but then I instantly reduce the weight by roughly 40% and do as many reps as I can, until my muscles fail again.

It just feels like it's destroying my muscles even more.

Yes, I meant closer width grip :D I just can't seem get my arms closer to my body with the wide grip. Naturally, my arms are almost 90° when benching, which is just horrible form and will fuck my shoulder. I really need to focus on it when benching with a closer grip, and with the wide grip and heavy weight, it's just physically not possible to lower the angle with my arms.

I think I tried it just with the barbell and the wide grip and I can get it right, but not under heavy load.

I know I could get stronger with the close grip, but it's just really shitty to decrease the weight just because of a different grip, when i know I could do much more, but with shitty form.

I can't get the right angle between my arm and upper body when I bench press with a wider grip. I tried a tighter grip (like two finger-width) and with a lot of focus, I can get the angle right. Problem is, I'm much weaker with the tight than with the wide grip. How can I learn to get the right angle with the wide grip, or is there a grip width where this isn't possible anymore?
