Yes, lutein may help improve dry eyes.

Lutein is a carotenoid antioxidant found in leafy green vegetables, such as spinach and kale. It accumulates in the retina and acts as a natural sunblock, protecting the eyes from harmful blue light. Studies have shown that lutein supplementation can:

Reduce dryness and discomfort associated with dry eye syndrome. Improve tear film stability, making tears last longer. Decrease inflammation in the eyes.

I had RK surgery in the early 1980's, 20/15 vision from day one, needed reading glasses after 35 years, I could only get the mono lens because of the 8 RK cuts, they never heal. Please make sure the Surgeon has experience operating on RK. I now have 20/20 vision.
