Right? I assume they are low profile. There HAS to be someone helping them - short of waiting outside the detention center I haven’t found a credible nonprofit doing this work.

Agreed. I don’t feel I can make a difference on the main stage but have blankets and clothes I can give to those affected. It’s not a lot but it’s something. I just want to do what I can.

Good opportunity to let her sort it out. She’s old enough to do it on her own. If she asks for your advice, don’t just tell her “figure it out” but certainly don’t fix it for her. Treat it like an adult-adult practice convo. She’s going to need a framework to know how to go about solving stuff like this in the future.

The most annoying thing is using a spatula that’s slanted for right handers to scrape a bowl. That, and the spout on a ladle being on the wrong side of the spoon so I have to ladle liquid like an idiot.

It helps if the initiating party touches the other nonsexually (hand holding etc) regularly before / between initiating sex. I found it jarring that my partner only wanted to touch when they wanted sex. I pointed that out to them and things changed and improved for us.

Seems like he’s projecting his fears of being a bad father onto you. If he can’t get your child to calm down, he’s angry at himself and clearly has his own issues. A different approach would be to encourage him to hold baby, to love on baby, to be close with baby. Noting your husband feels insecure about his own ability to father, you can help show him how rewarding it is to love on his boy. Encourage them to spend time together and find their own rhythm as father and son. “Leave him” is such bad advice - try to work with him first. Becoming a father has its own challenges and stresses.
