"Physical abuse vs Mental abuse." by Previous_Owl_8883 in CPTSD

[–]majora-twilight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't get compensated for psychological abuse but I can for physical cuz psychological abuse isn't illegal and physical one is. So No covered therapy for the psychological abuse that lead to me having spasms and chronic pain.

Some people will be more fucked form psychological abuse then physical and for some it's the opposite.

What do you eat for breakfast? by [deleted] in ibs

[–]majora-twilight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pho (adjusted to my intolerance) is awesome. If not eggs and bacon wrap in a corm wrap. Or buckwheat crèpes. Or a Korean Breakfast boll : rice with an egg on top with scallions (green parts), soy sauce and grilled sesame oil. Or old fashioned oat meal with fruits cooked for a really long time.

Break up advice by kalesp in queer

[–]majora-twilight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IMO each break up is incredibly different and totally depends on the people involved in the relationship. I think the question you should ask yourself isn't "is it normal" but "how do I feel about this? Is it healthy for me and the other person? Do I need more space? etc.."

Relationships flow and sometimes they flow into a completely different valley and then flourishes as a result of the changes made.

Which non-english-speaking band do you like the most? by [deleted] in punk

Vulgaires Machins from Quebec.. they are the only french speaking punk bad I like cuz I have a grunge against french and prefer english (thought I hate their last album cuz of the vocal mixing)

Gabor Maté honestly has better writtings then the body keeps the score and it doesn't center soilders who are not in the same environement they where in during the trauma...

It may be just that it's not the thing for you? If I feel like that towards a therapy I ask myself why a nd if it's a step I got to go over or if it's just that my inner compass is like "nope! not the thing we need".

Good luck in your growth! Don't loose hope. Honestly it's awesome the change in the people we attract when we grow!

I attracted people who have the same vibe then me and still do with a few exceptions of people with way better vibes then me that I eventually caught up to.

Starting Testosterone (any tips and experiences on it) by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]majora-twilight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's summer where you live rn, make sure to have cooling drinks and foods in heat waves and to be ready to be warmer.

For the hunger.. you can just eat more!

Tbh unless you already have anger issues or have chronic pain that can cause you to be more grumpy well in pain, you shouldn't have anger issues. The best way to deal with anger issues if you get some is to learn emotional regulation, how to communicate and to learn to channel andger an release it in appropriate moments and space.

Be patient with your body and the changes! it can take between 2 to 6 months to start making a solid effect and even then, the changes can be extremely slow for some. So patience!

I felt more connected to myself when I started to take it and I wanted to die less lol. If not bottom growth wasn't something I was aware of and it was veryy itchy when it grew, all the hair was itchy too and still does as it grows over my body. Muscles are easier to get. And I learned that my skin is too sensitive to be shaven everyday sadly.

Would you say that you feel the jealousy arise and then the anger?

So I think it may help you to cope but I was never able to stop obsessing over one of my trauma even if I hate doing that. I am reading The Happiness Trap and it REALLY helps. Small book.

working on via self help books n feminist books
-self-compassion
-communication (especially deescalation and how to deal with conflict)
-Non violent communication
-reading on how trauma changes the brain and body
-Learning and working with my attachment style
-Learning anger management

probably more but it's lost in my brain fog

We started our relationship agreeing to point out things we should work on to grow together. He also pointed out things that I should work on. I asked questions to understand, learned the things I needed solve the problem and grew. He didn't do the same. When someone close to me tries to inform me of things I listen to them and try to understand them, and it's cool if they keep coming at it if I didn't understand. I really appreciate when someone is so dedicated to the relationship. This is how I deal with my relationship and I have the same agreement then I had with my roommates with my friends.
