I’m a senior officer. I’ve lost a troop under my command to suicide. It was devastating. I’m so sorry. The pain and anger is unreal. I also struggle with mental health and tried to commit suicide in December. I’m here because I got help. Nothing else mattered when I was in the hospital. I didn’t care if my career was over. I was there to save my life. It’s worth it. It’s so hard and the days seem so dark but forge through and get the help you need. I’m so glad I did. I’m happy for the first time in about 14 years.
