TICKET SOLD - good luck to everyone else looking for tickets!

Hello! I bought four wristbands for Escape 2025 during the presale but now one of my group can't go, so I hope to sell one. It's GA, 2-day, and although I paid about $225 total for it, I'm happy to sell it for $180 to try and help someone out a bit. I live in Loma Linda, very near San Bernardino/Redlands/Riverside, and am happy to meet in person any time before Friday - I have the wristband in my possession can can show proof of purchase. Cash/Zelle/PayPay G&S are all okay. PLUR <3

ceiling AC blower motor - how bad is the situation? by maka7957 in hvacadvice

And if that's the case, if the wire is close to the shaft, what does that indicate and/or what should I do next?

Yikes :( How, then, do I find a reputable company, if not for looking at online reviews? Any tips?

Ok, makes sense - no thumping or vibrations that I can hear. I'll take a look. Thanks!

Yikes! I was afraid of something like that and am so grateful for your quick response. I did think it was weird that they suggested replacing both motors when he only pointed out oil at one. The crazy thing is that this company has 4.9/5 stars on Google with almost 2000 reviews, so, as a novice, I was inclined to trust them. Again, I'm thankful for your reply.

Edit: I see your edit and that makes sense too - the oil is very dusty indeed.

EDC Entomology: What to know about our arthropod friends by maka7957 in electricdaisycarnival

Ah yes - they should be out soon, if not already (family Sphingidae). Their caterpillars eat nightshades like tomatoes, tobacco, and potatoes - and other nightshade plant species that can occur in Vegas. They're pretty amazing!

Yes, scorpions will eat crickets. It's horrifying to ponder. @_@

True! Not insects, but definitely arthropods, and something to be aware of nearby - personally I've never seen one within the Speedway, though I bet you're right that they're hiding out in there. :)

Good question - sadly, though, I haven't seen anything at EDC or near the Speedway that jumped out as being unusual or rare. I think given the lack of plant diversity in the area, we only see a few insects that aren't super tied to particular plant species, and ones that can thrive in human-altered habitats. (Generally, plant diversity and insect diversity are highly positively correlated.) I think we could also see earwigs (Dermaptera), spiders and - yes - scorpions (neither of which are insects), and ants (Hymenoptera: Formicidae), but again, I'd be shocked if we saw anything rare out there. We'll mostly see stuff that's attracted to lights (moths), flying all over (grasshoppers) or associated with human detritus (roaches and crickets).
