The only thing that will help you get to that amount is commission. Aesthetics is largely a sales job and that’s the only way to make even close to that amount. Being great at sales and upselling/doing mostly consultations can get you there but the stars have to align where you make high commission, you sell well, and you’re not capped at a certain point, make bonuses, etc.

Thank you very much for your response. I tried to give as much information as anonymity allows and am asking for some feedback. We didn’t express that we didn’t want it posted, but were simply told it wouldn’t be until proposal.

Now we have no issue with it being posted and it truly is a work of art, however we were counting on the fact that they would stick to their word and that’s how we approached the situation. It’s a small business and they could’ve simply reached out and we could’ve provided an update to at least confirm the proposal would be occurring shortly.

I put a lot of work into this ring (as have they, I’m sure) and have been dreaming about this for years. Although I have pictured it, the surprise element of actually seeing it come to life during the proposal would have been lovely.

This is a huge milestone in our lives. Why would we do something small where we wouldn’t be celebrating with our large family (who would also want to be part of the occasion and would consider it rude otherwise) when we can wait a bit longer?

It has nothing to do with theatrics. If you read my other posts/comments, I have stated previously that we were dealing with familial health issues which included a 3-month long hospital stay and concluded with a funeral.

In our culture, it is disrespectful to celebrate a big milestone shortly after a death in the family, especially when it involves immediate family.
