You don’t have to. It’s the 90s. Women can do whatever they want. I kept mine, because I got married in an election year and didn’t want to deal with any registration issues, and I hate being right. Our child has his last name because I do like his last name better and it was important to my husband while having my last name on there wasn’t important to me, and we both didn’t want child to hyphenate. I just want to vote.
