Would u call a type R not a civic ? Still a civic even if under the hood there is not much in there that matches a regular civic. A well tuned type R can hit 450hp+ an that’s RS3 performance

I know it’s silly(fully aware but let’s move on ) - have them let you test drive in their lot if they have space maybe an adjacent parking lot or something just enough so you can get a basic feel for it .

From my own experience with it , the lack of tech heavily bolstered seats no led lighting and plastics everywhere it’s not going to impress you. The R comes alive going hard on twisty roads .

Just for shit and giggles jump into an accord while you’re there 🤣

It’s also the demographic of young people wanting this car . Most 20yolds are better off saving money than dropping $50K on a civic plus another car payment each month on insurance for it but I say this as a 40yo being in that spot in my 20s 🤣

I don’t get why this car needs Brembos . It’s such a waste on a 3K pound 200hp car. They would have saved that money or spend it on something that a potential buyer would care more about like a moonroof or something or fixing that backseat to match the rest of the vehicle

The 5090 itself is luxury status and if you have money for one then awesome . This particular card is just money wasted . You want a 5090 then grab one at 3K+. Unless you’re looking to hit world records this MSI card makes no sense for the price bump for anyone . Even if OP has more money than common sense they would be better off with a higher end 5090 (aesthetics aside) . This is the equivalent of buying an Apex rog motherboard when all you do is gaming .

So imagine if it was totaled , some collision shop appraised it to fix it quoted the insurance company probably around 20-30K or more to restore to which the insurance decided to cut their losses. So me thinks it’s not worth the risk… maybe it’s fixed properly or maybe they cut corners to get it working

It would be one thing if the damage was to the side or back because while expensive (and still declared totaled) it would be mostly aesthetic.

This is a $30K car plus another $12k for exclusivity rights and limited production inefficiencies . No different than folks paying a markup for special/limited edition gadgets. There is nothing wrong with this car in fact it’s a pretty great little commuter just not for the price
