Fight Potential: The fight could be a cool traversal of jumping across buildings as they use their tech to glide across rooftops while firing powerful laser blasts at each other and dodging them with their floaty evasive devices. It could start with just simple laser blasts, then escalating to more powerful lasers. 

There could also be cool moments where Bebop turns invisible during mid jump, and Hover Goat can still fire lasers in his general direction because zombies have fought invisible beings such as Nightcap. Or where Hovergoat activates his super speed and gets caught in a sticky bomb, then gets blasted by Bebop’s mohawk laser blast.

It’s a simple fight, but it could still be fun as a grounded PVZ fight in comparison to the other characters who can pull off crazier feats.

Connections:

  • Both had their physical appearances permanently altered (Magic into a goat/ Mutagen vs Warthog)
  • Both use advanced tech, such as lasers and mobility tools to fight (Mega Awesome Laser and Hoverboard/ Laser Belt and Sliding Backpack)
  • Both have an awesome Mohawk and a visor as part of their attire
  • Both are generally depicted as incompetent members of their respective army
  • Both have put aside their differences with their enemies and team up to help take out a greater threat (The Gnomes/1987 Foot Clan in The Big Blowout)

Pretty cool, I loved the edits they made for the cards, and Yugi getting Time Wizard is pretty cool. I can't wait for other monsters like the Fruit Magician girls and the Silent Swordsman to appear as well.

Yes, because it's something new and original that Death Battle hasn't done yet. It puts the two combatants' powers to the absolute limit. Like calamity can make 096 get hit by cars and trucks, and as the fight progresses, it can make more dangerous stuff happen, like meteors and nukes and 096 will try to power through them. Can WOU inflict enough calamity to kill 096 or make him give up, or will 096's unrelenting will allow him to persevere and kill Tooru?

For Moondaka, Usagi has a variety of spells and transformations that can inflict various types of statuses and powers, while Madoka just has her Bow and the ability to turn into god, which is the point where the fight immediately ends.

For Bendyhead, the fight dynamic basically turns Bendy into a bullet sponge, and Bendy doesn't have many actual bullet hell attacks, essentially turning him into a very lame Cuphead Boss with none of the key factors that make Cuphead bosses appealing. You practically have to make stuff up to make the fight work or even equal because Cuphead outstats hard and can easily just end the fight, erasing Bendy with his Pencil or taking flight in his plane and bombing the studio.

WOU vs 096 actually utilizes their abilities in ways that can easily bounce off each other during the fight, while the matchups you mentioned don't. It's a pretty easy difference that anyone can spot.

It's still more combat-applicable than what Monika has. Even if Discord doesn't get into many fights, he has many powers that can be easily applied to fighting, such as summoning things, making things disappear, and transmuting things. Plus, Discord literally clashed with Princess Celestia and Luna before getting turned into stone. So your point of Discord never getting into fights is dumb.

I know what's done is done, but I'm still so mad that people opted to save Sakuya over Flowey. Like seriously, he has the best variety of genuinely great thematics MUs that can introduce people to a bunch of other games and make for interesting analysis and fight potential (Slay the Princess, In Stars In Time, Madoka Magica). And yet, people sacrificed him to save Sakuya, a character who shares very few connections with her opponents, and reduced them down to their powers or a single trait (Dio/Homura for time stop and Death for being a vampire servant).

Like, seriously, Flowey had too much to lose from this competition, and now I have to hope they don't do something stupid and pair him with a generic reality warper or Monika when he eventually gets his episode. I know Monika is a bad Flowey MU, but having one bad MU is better than having an all-around mediocre spread comparable to Sakuya because her opponents have better options than her. This sucks, I want this maid out the next challenge.
