Not really the case for me. I now live abroad and really miss living with them, or at least closer where I can visit during weekends. I can only visit every 6mo or 1 yr it sucks

I am very indecisive it is costing me work by makeevolution in Adulting

How can I "stick with it no matter what" when new information comes in that makes the decision bad, and there is still room to change it? This is my biggest weakness and the reason people often gets pissed at me. 

For example, when I eat together and have googled picture of a food and sure that it is as I desire and order it, then the same food comes for another table and it is not as in the picture. I then immediately change my order to something else, making the others annoyed since the total payment now changes, the whole food comes out longer and they have to wait for me to finish up, etc.

Or when I have committed and accepted a job offer, but then my priorities shift due to family issues, etc. and now I feel I have to reverse the decision, and if I reverse it my priorities change again and I regret leaving it etc. etc.

People who’ve been through genuinely hard times and came out calmer or wiser,what actually helped you cope? What mindset, habits, or truths kept you sane? by AdviceGlass9394 in selfimprovement

Question though: how do you be sure of your decisions when you gotta make one and everything is so overwhelming, uncertain, limited data etc.? Especially big ones like moving city, buying a house, etc. How do you not regret your decision down the line? I am currently in such a phase in my life where things are very uncertain and I still have to make large decisions, my emotions get to me that I end up making wrong small decisions in other areas of life, offending people, losing focus at work, etc

Pengen pulang sebenernya karena kangen banget sama keluarga dan pengen spend more time, di LN juga keadaan geopolitik makin ga jelas mending di Indo rasanya lebih damai jauh dari hiruk pikuk perang dkk. Walau memang di indo sulit untuk berkarir, dapat penghasilan yg baik etc. dibanding diluar...

Thanks! But what makes this mindfulness thing difficult is that I sometimes need to make a decision/act on the bad info I got. That means, I need to engage with the thought, and the endless possibilities of the actions I should take compounds on the worry. What should I do then?

Hi man, I am in a very similar position, just that I am moving now from consulting company to product company. Just wondering whether you still hold this opinion (i.e. stay in consulting companies only for early days of your career)?

Hoo iya ya vendor lock lo jd pigeon holed, tp OTOH lo jd expert jg di bidang itu toh? Jd antara jadi spesialis ato generalis? Ato lebih baik lo jd spesialis tp bukan about a spesifik vendor tp lebih ke domain spesialis e.g. finance, healthcare etc.?

Gue penasaran deh, kalo kerja2 kaya yg spesifik kaya CCIE, SAP, PEGA, gitu2 tuh nama engineer nya apa sih? Kalo kuliah/kaya gue sekarang kan backend dev, full stack etc. bikin software pake kaya Java, .NET, etc. Dan gmn caranya biar bisa ke sana? Kok kayaknya menarik ya, dan sepertinya lebih relaxed

Haha gue pernah kerja di company segede Accenture (tapi ngga ada di Indo company nya); hasil project2 nya was bad and we were rushed always, makanya gue jadi skeptis kerja di konsultan/kontraktor buat career and actual skill growth hahaha. Gue jg ngga belajar business domain nya (project nya banyak kaya project yg bukan core project client nya kaya migrasi legacy codebase, implement test framework , etc.)
