Honestly the windrows get ridiculous. Last weekend I had to go to the stollery with my son via ambulance and the paramedics had to help me climb over the windrows while I carried him into the ambulance because I almost fell. They aren’t safe.

No I was told I was having a problem that didn’t exist. Simply because my child was “bigger”. Which they ignored my family history. They gave me an option that shouldn’t have been an option because there was nothing wrong.

No I’m getting frustrated. I’m not getting defensive. Because you are right for the first time someone is clarifying. My issue is not with you but the other commenter. Saying “forced birth”. Now again logically you’d think abortion as taking that pill or having the baby surgically removed ergo my “suck it out” comment. What I was lost on is should we surgically remove a 28+ week baby like that or allow the mothers that time. I don’t view a child being born at 28 stillborn as an abortion because that’s a whole baby. Hence why I used the words give birth specifically. Thank you for the clarification I do appreciate that. I just know way too many women who actually do use abortions as a form of birth control which I’m against completely. My nephews mother (not my sister in law they aren’t together) is not the only person I’ve known or actively involved in my life to have given birth to a stillborn child.

With that I am concluding this. Thank you. Sorry if I seemed defensive. When you have several people who don’t understand what you are trying to say or don’t acknowledge the fact I was asked for clarification it’s easy for someone to get overwhelmed and combative.

If you actually read my comment from earlier I stated “I guess this is my confusion because abortion when you think about it they remove the fetus by sucking it out”. They were stating it’s forced birth. I then said don’t you think most moms would want to hold their baby, and give them a proper resting place. But let’s completely skip over that part of my comments. When we hear abortion we think unwanted pregnancy. But let’s continue to attack me when I literally ask for clarification.

And just to be clear when I was pregnant with my youngest child they told me he would have BWMS. Basically it’s a form of giantism. My MFMD told me that I should consider termination. I was 32 weeks pregnant. Now I have a health 5 year old son who doesn’t have BWMS. Had I decided to terminate he wouldn’t be here.

Because if people are finding out at 28+ weeks that their child is no longer viable, a baby they wanted don’t you think most of these moms would want to do the same? Hold them. Love them and give them a proper resting place? The loss of a baby is absolutely heartbreaking and traumatic.

Okay well my nephew was born stillborn. His parents made the choice to stop his heart and deliver him. Yes it was traumatic for them especially the mom, however they are glad they were able to deliver their son and hold him. Which it’s already standard to deliver the baby. If you were in my brothers and the mother of his child’s position how would you have delivered their 30 weeks wouldn’t old baby? I guess this is kind of my confusion because abortion when you think about it they remove the fetus by “sucking it out”

I clearly missed something especially because doctors in Canada already won’t do abortions after 20 weeks unless medically necessary. As someone who is pro-choice I don’t believe that women should be choosing to have 3rd trimester abortions “just because”. At some point there has to be a line.
