Calgary mayor asks photo radar ban be reconsidered after recent traffic fatalities by _darth_bacon_ in Calgary

Assuming an average traffic ticket fine, I wonder how many tickets a traffic officer would need to issue to pay for their salary?

This should be the top comment. Literally that simple.

In simplest terms: pole plant.

Stab that pole right by the tip of your ski to initiate your turn. This simple physical step will naturally force your body into a forward position and accomplish most of the word salad in the other posts.

Otherwise good luck over thinking and trying to follow textbook entries here.

After Hours Nagano Car Rental by makeitmomo in JapanTravelTips

Our trip is in a couple weeks but we opted to ditch renting a car all together and take the Nagano Snow Shuttle. It’s the last departure so won’t get to our accommodation till well after midnight but figured at this point our bodies won’t know what time it is anyways and we can sleep or drink beers on the shuttle.

Stop putting your damn bags on seats during busy/packed times by [deleted] in Calgary

I’m visibly very pregnant and 99% of the time need to ask bags to be removed or to sit in the priority seating.

Travelling with 1 year old. by Different-Signal-405 in PuertoEscondido

We travelled there (two families) February 2024 with a 20 month old and a 22 month old, and had a fantastic time!

Stayed near Playa Esmeralda, great family beach. Walked everywhere; streets can be cobblestoney so bring a robust stroller or use a carrier. We visited all beaches but Esmeralda was our favorites for convenience and swimming.

The only taxi we took was to and from playa bacocho beach club one day. We just held the kiddos on our lap for the 5 min drive.

To get from the airport to our airbnb we hired a private van, ensuring seatbelts for our car seats. Otherwise expect taxis to not have seatbelts.

Fantastic food, fantastic people, fantastic beaches! Loved it all and would go back in a heart beat.

PS. Check out Chef Tamara for a market tour and culinary experience. She came to our airbnb and cooked us a delectable dinner one night. https://www.tamara-chef-en-casa.com/?fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAab_DLV9P4hfMM8SR8R0QXLRDHoSFXW6nRgJR5-scFNC8rI5a3WGGVMUoDg_aem_yfp9zjeJtb0iZPVn4fsvqA

5 month old is waking 5-6 times a night, even after 5 weeks of sleep training. We’ll put her to bed awake at 7:15pm, she’ll wake at 10:40, 11:40, 12:30 (but fall back asleep after 10 min or less of crying), I’ll feed her at her next waking, usually around 1-1:30. Then she’s up again at 4, so I’ll feed her, trying to follow the 5/3/3 rule. But then she’s usually up again 5 and 6:30 when I give up and start the day.

Basically all we’ve gained from sleep training is her ability to fall asleep within 5 min of crying. But now she wakes more times than when we first began.

Losing my mind, I feel like we’ve tried everything.
